[2023] Should I get the game?

So. Today I found out about the game and after looking at some info it seems to have potential but a number of problems that make me not want to buy it. However, I want to ask the community. How is the future of the game looking? Do the devs talk with the players and listen? Are the future plans looking good or awful?
