1 - It makes games longer than they should. Aram should be quick, not last as long (if not longer) than a normal game.

2 - It ruins the thrill of backdoors, which is one of the funnier factors of aram specially for champions that stealth.

3 - It promotes unfun situations such as random mages and enchanters building warmogs so they can make lost games as long (and boring) as possible

4 - It discourage lategame teamfights. The endgame should be the pinnacle of enthusiasm of a match, but it’s not, simply because team loosing is encouraged to stay behind nexus tower with the massive dmg.

There’s no baron or dragon on aram, there’s no side objective for loosing team to leave nexus, it’s stupid to leave a strong tower there. It just ruins the fun.

This is something we have been talking about internally.

We agree it makes games take longer than they should, and are playing with some idea on how we want to solve it (and how critical the problem is).

The comment about backdooring is an interesting one, and not one I had heard before.

We also agree that the frequency we are seeing Warmog's Armor as the lone defense item for many nontanks in ARAM is a problem. This should be addressed in the next patch.

We are following a recent change PC made where you need to have enough bonus health. So tanks should be just fine.
