Except Tirptiz is not an Odin and an Odin is not a Tirpitz.

They are different and were NEVER meant to be played the same way. In fact, they play quite different. You CAN try to play them the same, but your results WILL vary.

Odin is a VERY good DD/Cruiser killer, Tirpitz/Bismarck is meant to be BB to BB ship.

I have both Odin and Tirpitz/Tirpitz B, and I will tell you I prefer Odin hands down.

Oh I 100% agree it depends on angling though TBH. Knowing where to shoot etc... the pen of Odins guns are more suited to engaging cruisers overall though.

Well and the problem here is Odin was never intended to be a BB, just like Scharn... they were meant to be BCs not BBs. Just because in game they are categorized as BBs does not mean we have to play them as such, you have to look at their armor and gun caliber and determine play that way.

I have played Odin A LOT and she does just fine at tier X, I've even done it during our live streams, I think the best game I have ever had in her in a tier X battle was 196k and over 3 million potential... She is very capable, especially considering her armor and turtleback plates.

Scharn and Odin are both some of my fav BBs in the game because of their play style.

You're right, they were MEANT to have BB level guns, but did not. This is why they would be categorized as BCs.

Nothing wrong with having BB levels of armor and BC guns, the point stands, if you're fighting BB to BB, OF COURSE something with 15" guns or larger is going to do more damage to you shell for shell.

My point is, if you fight cruisers, YOU will do more damage shell for shell and you have staying power to fight multiple cruisers. With a reload that allows it.
