I'm not understanding what the problem is. I need some context.

Replays require the game to launch when you launch the replay. So the client needs to be not open. But the WGC needs to be up as the game needs the WGC to launch.

The last patch (0.9.6) changed the requirement that you MUST have the WGC launched to launch the game client. And since the game client has to launch in order to properly view a replay, the WGC must launch. This is why it is doing this now.
