AGAIN:

There is NOTHING wrong with discussing tactics, mechanics, or trying to teach players how to play.

HOWEVER, actively promoting, discussing and trying to promote or discuss griefing players in game IS a EULA violation.

If you have questions beyond that, PM me.

I have been telling people, it is all in how you present what you you're doing.

"REPORT ALL CVs" "GRIEF THE GRIEFERS" these is the EULA violations.

Wait, where is that button!?

Nah, I closed the other threads down and any more that open up I will close down and reference back to THIS thread so we have a centralized location to have a HOPEFULLY civil conversation....

And just like @Destroyer_KuroshioKai said, there is NOTHING wrong with doing things like say EHEM running a tier VIII CV with 2 Musashi's.... that is a game mechanic that exist and it is allowed.... but HOW you present that stuff.... well there is your conundrum...

At the end of the day, it's easy, BE CIVIL and BE GOOD to each other.... If you're having to question if your actions MIGHT be a violation.... chances are... they might just be.....

you might want to go back through the thread and read some of the replies, I actually explain this.

It should be understood that what you're saying is borderline a forum violation as well....

The top end player-base is just as allowed to have their opinions as anyone.

But again, it is ALL IN THE PRESENTATION of said opinions that can change how they are reacted to.

In this case, the feedback from the ENTIRE community drove the change in tier for the CB season. Did this make everyone happy? No, but that won't ever occur, because no matter what we do, someone will be upset, all we can do is keep trying new things.

In the games industry this is very normal, sometimes you hit the mark, sometimes you do not, you learn and you move forward. Some will say that that feedback is "never listened to" or make snide remarks towards developers etc, but that doesn't change the process.

We don't "lock any thread that has anything to do with eula" we only lock threads when they get out of control and there are too many violations to moderate one at a time, or if a post straight up is a forum violation in itself....

If a conversation is constructive and civil, they get left alone, you can see this throughout the forums... there are A LOT of threads that we do not agree with, but it doesn't mean we need to lock or hide them.....

Also, I mean, I know this is a crazy thought... but like, if people would read some of the rules outlined in the TOS or EULA.... a better understanding would occur. +1

it was NOT simply because it was about CVs.

almost 4 years ago - Hapa_Fodder - Direct link

Hey look, don't break these rules, either in game or on these forums, and you'll be fine. I know, for shame to make you read something....

Be good to each other, be civil, try to be a decent human being and you'll be fine.

Interesting opinion, but I have definitely shut down simliar OPs that were directed at players with stats that weren't thought to be good, or towards some of the top end players because someone thought negatively about them, with NOTHING to have to do with CVs.

TBH, this might be true for some.... but we do not moderate with that in mind, we moderate based off the rules which I have posted above.

My moderators and I would also be on here all day... LOL

Folks,

I have just had to spend the last 45 mins going through and moderating this post because some of you want to have a fight with others, take stuff like that to a PM chain, it doesn't belong and is non-constructive and off topic.

I have seen others mention that we need to fix X or Y because they are exploits and so they don't need to follow the EULA as a result.

If something is a game mechanic (LIKE I HAVE SAID SEVERAL TIMES) like say an 899 division it is allowed and is NOT an exploit. Just like sync dropping there is NO rule that says you cannot do this. Just because you think it isn't right, doesn't make it not right.

Once again, there is a difference between violating the EULA/TOS, advocating for the violation of the EULA/TOS and using game mechanics, teaching players how to play or use game mechanics or discussing how to play the game in general.

Folks,

Please, this was not intended to be a smear post on a clan, or players. Please do not derail this conversation any further. Also, this is NOT about CVs, this is about violating the EULA or TOS. This is my last time I will say this.

At the end of the day, like I said earlier:

At the end of the day, it's easy, BE CIVIL and BE GOOD to each other.... If you're having to question if your actions MIGHT be a violation.... chances are... they might just be.....

Folks,

Unfortunately I have asked multiple times to keep the conversation on topic and without personal attacks or attacks towards entire clans. This has not been the case, I think I am sitting at 3 pages worth of moderated content on this topic. So at this time, this topic is done.
