[2020] How To Fix Your Mods After Today's Patch.

Actually, this is NOT correct, this was done because a lot of players would not update their mods, they would just do what I am seeing people mention here which is just move the old mods into the new folder, and VERY often non-updated mods do not interact correctly with an updated client. Instead of waiting for the mod-makers to update their mods so that they function correctly.

It doesn't convenience US to try to push the community to update their mods... If you look at my bug report post about the latest update, I literally have to mention a minimum of 5 times to remove mods and test the client BEFORE putting a bug report in... above is WHY I had to say that and why we did above.

Because realistically using updated mods, should be the correct action. As I did this morning with the one mod I use, I checked to see it is updated and then updated my mods.

The modstation is just the install app, you would need to reach out to the MOD MAKERS to ensure that THEY are updating the mods.
