What is your carousel settings like before changing modes?

Ahoy, I replicated the steps you suggested to try and produce the unintended port filter.
Selected battle mode - Random
Go to "Combat Missions"
Go to "Challenges"
Select a "challenge"
I exited and went back into the port screen but no filters were set.
You stated you did not select the "battle" button on the Challenge correct?
It would be helpful to have a recording and log file. You can post the video here but PM me the logs.
I was able to reproduce the filter, nice work!
