Heyo Everyone.
I get where you're coming from. You're all skeptical on submarines, rightly so. Its a big change and addition coming off of a rocky road the was the CV rework, which as we've admitted was troublesome and poorly communicated in places.
With this I would remind you of some key facts coming from the very Alpha gameplay footage that was shown at Gamescom and its related streams:
Specific numerical characteristics are WIP, including but not limited to:
Damage from Standard/Homing/Magnetic Torpedoes
Speed of the submarine at the various levels of depth
Rates of oxygen use and replenishment
Number of submarines per game
Damage capability of HE/AP/SAP against submarines
Damage capability of depth charges against submarines
AWS (Automatic Weapons System) of DDs and its interaction with Submarines
Other classes interaction and defense of/against Submarines
How consumables and captain skills will be adjusted
While we definitely encourage the voicing of concerns, in conjunction to this, please remain understanding a lot is susceptible to change and adjustment. Generating definitive statements at the moment based on very early information can be closed minded.
Ultimately;
We have identified mistakes that occurred during the CV rework process.
We have resolved solutions to help prevent the same mistakes from occurring, including:
Better closed testing systems
Live testing in a closed environment (as opposed to in live environments of Randoms)
We will be taking more time before full implementation
So why should you participate?
Personally, I think the main benefit in participation is to gain information and experience to make educated conclusions.
Additionally, participation also includes:
Gaining early access to incoming content
Involvement in the development and feedback processes
However, no one is forcing anyone to participate, it is purely voluntary.
Fem,
