Well the good news is World of Warships isn't planning on going anywhere for a very long time! The game is performing well and will continue to be available for years to come, however the nature of any online game is everything is virtual and nothing lasts forever. From my own very personal perspective I've been playing MMO games since the late 90's and been through dozens many of which no longer exist, but most of the memorable ones lasted significantly longer than I ever intended to play (EverQuest just hit 20 years).
Investing in entertainment is hard to gauge and must be done on the individual level but I would look at it in terms of how much time you want to enjoy something versus a permanent object and then weigh the cost. Ultimately we want you to be very happy with your purchase overall so I hope this helped.
