Dockyard has been an extremely well-received part of the game even after it got off to a rocky start with Puerto Rico.

Our thinking is that people who didn't get PR before want another chance to get it, so we're bringing it back under the new method of Dockyard progression that is far better than the first PR version.

Make sense?

F2P's absolutely CAN participate in the dockyard event. Just by playing you can get a load of free items from the dockyard without spending a dime.
The dockyard is intended to be something that earns you a deep discount on a cool and usually unique premium ship while giving you FREE items along the way just for playing.

As stated in the video, acquiring the Puerto Rico a second time will essentially get you another T10 special ship of your choice, which may even include RB and Steel ships.

That's a good question! I'm not sure about that as we're still in the preliminary stages of constructing the activity. I will be sure to remember that and ask as we get closer. Thanks for making that known to me

It's what the article says. To record the video we paraphrased a few things, so some of the verbage may have changed slightly.

You already have the Puerto Rico and finish another from this dockyard? You can get yourself another ship.

Sorry, man. Talking is hard

Oh, well we certainly learned from the first dockyard...

I'll remind you that the person in question here no longer works for the company.

I honestly would not say that PR is the most "powerful", but it does hold the distinction of being the only T10 on the Dockyard list. If you mean powerful in the sense of highest tier then you may be right.

To be clear to everyone - when Ahskance and I put up the poll about previous dockyard ships being revisited, it wasn't specifically with this intention. We honestly wanted to gauge people's sentiments about which ship would be most desirable when the time came to make them available again in some form.

Glad people are happy about it's return! I know I am

I don't know what you're implying here... I'm not making any excuses, more pointing out that the person in question definitely should NOT have said what they said at the time.

Ah! I had my people mixed up.

My apologies, Waverider I thought you were referring to a person who had made an off-color remark about "well, I got one..."
The person you are referring to does still work for the company and I'm sure they wish that they had phrased it differently, but point taken

Every human being is unique. If you're suggesting that someone two years ago was insensitive to the players, that's fine - it may be the case, but it's hardly what's happening now and has little bearing on how the PR is being re-released.

2? Let's not get crazy

The fact that Repulse was incredible and 100% free was honestly one of the coolest parts of the Marlborough dockyard for me.

Having a "midway ship" is definitely something we know is popular!

over 2 years ago - Boggzy - Direct link

You're absolutely correct about that, Nevermore.

I should have been more precise in my words this time - because I was referring to new ships specifically. Repulse was a brand new ship offered completely for free in the dockyard, whereas Dreadnought was not.

I made this suggestion a while back, but I will make another and come up with some candidates that might be good for an American Cruiser dockyard mid-tier ships .

C'mon now - I'm still a human being with a sense of humor. I reserve the right to be a player and a Community Manager.

Yes - that would very much be crazy.

I do prefer the Dockyards where a ship or two are available to be earned throughout the progression, even if they are not new ships like Repulse or Gorizia from the original.

Generally speaking, it takes a year before a brand new ship goes from ideas/proposals to game integration.
