Folks,

Remember, just because something doesn't work for YOU doesn't mean it isn't sound advice.

And TBH, this advice is probably some of the best and most sound you can receive from someone that knows what they are doing.

I have seens some talking about static positions with cruisers, TBH, a static position is not as diverse and functional as some might think especially to someone that knows spotting mechanics, continues to shift rudder and throttle and that has good situational awareness and knows when to engage and when to not.

Also remember, that ANYONE can just have "fun" playing a certain way, this does not always transition to results. Looking up the statistics of someone giving advice (AND NOT COMMENTING ON THEM) well help you figure out who's advice you might want to follow @BlailBlerg

That being said, lashing out at someone just because they are in a higher end clan doesn't invalidate their advice, they are trying to help. And because of the angst that some have towards high end players they do feel it necessary to ATTEMPT to validate their advice based off their stats. Though sometimes not done so in the best of lights, just remember that if someone is legitimately better than you in the game statistically, there is no need to get into a keyboard scrapple over it.

Totally agree with you! But lemme respond with this, I have always looked at someones stats when I see someone talking about how to play in the game.

That being said, I DON'T just look at W/R, because this can be skewed, I look at everything, damage dealt, K/D ratio, W/R and Avg XP, to me, AvG XP is more important, that tells me you are doing what you need to do in battle and it doesn't matter what class.

ANYONE can have a good game, and then post that screen shot and try to validate that they know what they are doing or talking about. This doesn't mean overall this is true. If a player has been playing for years and their stats are high across the board, I would say they typically know what they are doing.

Assuming no one STAT SHAMES, there is no reason at that point to NOT follow them and listen to them. The issue I have is when really good players that consistently play well and show it in their stats over time, get put down, shamed or countered by players that may not have the statistical achievement overtime backing them up.

As for the 'hackusations' they will happen any time you play really well, I have literally been accused while in game with certain DD.s... Also for the community see below on how to look a player up.

Well and that is key, you reacted properly, when people decide to troll you with statements like that it is better to just back away.

TBH, and I know I will get flak for this, but I stand true and firm to my statements about CVs aren't an issue for me really as a DD main. Do I get wrecked from time to time by a CV? YES definitely, but the same can be true when I am in a cruiser and a BB lands a dev strike or if I am in a BB and a DD gets a full spread of torps into me....

These things happen.

NOW, where people go WRONG IMO especially on these forums is this, OPINIONS ARE OPINIONS (I am not saying yours is invalid btw), but the reaction to someones opinion should be in line with how I responded to your statement about CVs vs DDs. It is just my own opinion and experience....

At the end of the day, people misunderstand that keyboard courage shouldn't be something they feel is necessary to have to voice their own opinion.

This is why for A LOT of people, they do not understand what "constructive conversation" is and then they think they are just being censored...

"This mechanics is broken and garbage and so are you" is NOT constructive... "This mechanic has no counter play, if they would take a look at the effectiveness of AA and buff it accordingly based off the average DD to CV experience by the numbers I am sure they would see it needs work." is pretty constructive.

Perhaps I took too many communication courses....

And shells move faster than a BB or cruiser too....

My point was that there are tactics to being hit by shells, there are tactics to counter being spotted and attacked by aircraft.... I would know, I do it regularly in a DD.

I have been playing DDs that have minimal AA for a long time, and still do, Benham is a good example, I have A LOT of battles in her and do very well in her, even with CVs.

I am NOT saying that we aren't looking at AA or DD to CV interactions, all I am saying is that, if people would work on learning tactics to react to a battle they CAN do very good.

Also, my reply was to explain how to give constructive feedback etc, not necessarily meant to change the OPs topic!

Which is how to play USN Cruisers.
