Folks,

Please leave personal attacks out of the forums (I do not understand why I have to keep saying this).

That being said, we have put considerable effort into options that give players the ability to NOT participate in events, collections or to completely NOT see content....

As for the "opt in" it is because A: we like to reward people that pay attention and read the news and B: people were complaining that they didn't want to participate.

It is 100% avoidable, if people are putting the effort in to reply to a post, they can put the effort in to be respectful and constructive.

Oh I mean purely on a specific person level.

I know that new people will come and go and we will have to re-iterate, but I am directly speaking to a few individuals that I have had the "encouragement" convo you reference to that still don't get it :)
