Heyo Captains,

Dropping in to do a mass reply to a few different points brought up in this thread, please humor the long reply.

Regarding Turning off Anime Content:

Please recall that additional styles of content (including Anime / Space / Halloween / ETC) can be toggled off as the player desires. But turning them off in your port you will not see any of this content in your regular battles.

Simply hit the gear about your ship carousel, and hit the eyeball on the content you do not wish you have visible.

Regarding free content:

There is available free content to do with the latest iteration of Azur Lane content:

AL Commander Azuma:

She is available for completing the Azur Lane collection that is available for all commanders by simply hitting the participate button within the May Missions portal article, see:

https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/sales-and-events/may-missions-2019/

and hit "Take Part"

The collection includes 30 collectible emblems from characters of the series. These collection emblems can be obtained through containers from a mission chain and from daily containers.

Speaking of a mission chain, lets talk AL Commander Hood:

She is available for completing a three part mission chain which will also grant you containers towards the above collection.

As explained above, Commander Hood is available from completing a three part mission chain. Commander Azuma is available from completing the collection.

Regarding Duplicates:

This was an unfortunate situation, the staff are in agreement with that. Captains are a little bit different to ship duplicates however. While having 2 of the same ship is pointless because you can only play one ship at a time, these captains can be placed on any of that nations ship, therefore they aren't completely useless. Again, we do acknowledge the complaint of the duplicate issue and going forward will be more considerate of this notion in the future.

The "Loot box" issue:

This is a somewhat unfair comparison, these are cosmetic commanders that do not provide any additional benefits in terms of commander skills or ship buffs and come with additional consumables which exceed the value of the container themselves. In the comparison, those loot-boxes were giving offering players a chance of an overpowered character or items that did not reach the base value of the container - thus they were considered gambling.

We acknowledge the players have issues with the pricing and contents of the containers, which has been passed to the appropriate departments.

Other comments and remarks:

I, or any of the community staff present would be more than happy to discuss this matter (and any others) with you (and other players) at the Haida.

I would like to reaffirm however, it clearly states in the article what is granted within the containers:

and the price is clearly stated. If you are unhappy with the price / contents, please provide us feedback (which we have gathered) and we will submit it upwards.

If you'd like to PM me I can see if there is any further details I can find out on the situation for you. Please include ticket # and brief explanation of the situation. I will say if for example you purchased containers, then opened them, this constitutes as "using the content" and may have been why the refund was declined. Again, lets see if we can worked out what happened privately.

There are typically pretty clear guidelines in regards to what actions that can be taken in different situations and why it is the case. If you unsatisfied with the response from CS please reach out to the community staff, we are here for you.

Okay Captains! Sorry for the longer post, I feel like I've addressed the major pain points in here as well as possible.

Your feedback from here and various other threads on the topics has been passed onward to the appropriate decision makers. If any further information comes to light on the matter I'll make sure to stop back with it.

Unfortunately, we don't know what possible the course of action to resolve this, following the submission of the feedback from the various regions community staff, is at this stage.

However, as soon as any changes are decided upon, if they get made for this collaboration, they will be communicated through standard channels (portal / forums / social media / etc).

I will say it may take some time since this is a collaboration effort, so changes may need to be discussed with the Azur Lane IP holder (I'm really not sure how long the process would take if a change is decided upon).

As soon as we hear anything more we will be sure to communicate it onward.

It is entirely possible in the future as we did do something similar with the first part of the AL colab.

Unfortunately I can't comment on future sales within the premium store (and in this case, I literally do not know what is planned).
