Sorry in advance for the long messaging, hitting all of your unanswered questions in one go:


Merging accounts is not possible at this time.

It is unlikely we would offer it either as the function could be easily abused for various EULA breaking functions.

I'm not sure I 100% understand your question, but here are some facts around what you're talking about:

You should not be able to run two instances of the game at the same time


We do not offer account merging


If you would like to change your username you can do this in the Account Management section on the homepage.

This feature isn't really intended for those who are already in the server that related to their origin but more for those who may have moved or live between two places, such as our Aussie friends. They may have originally made their accounts on the EU server, but have decided to change over to the NA server since the event times work better.

Furthermore, we have no policy against making multiple accounts on the different servers. I myself have a account for each server.

Yes, clans are unique to each server so if you move you will leave your prior NA clan.

We are simply not offering it at this time.

Everyone who opts in to be moved, will be moved to their server of choice.

We do not offer a universal server as ping would impact players that are not close to the host in a way that is too large, we can get away with it with the PTS as it is not a production server and players are not concerned with their stats on it so much. The individual servers are not "franchises", each server is owned and operated by Wargaming.

Yes, all of these will carry over as they are available on all servers. Just because they haven't been utilized on the other servers doesn't mean they don't exist there.

Unfortunately, yes, you will have to start again.

We are not transferring clans.

You would need to download the ASIA client - a second version of the game.

In the past several modpacks have offered region selectors however this functionality is not officially supported.

As per the FAQ: your transferred acc will be given a new email within the server and you will be able to contact support to get it changed to something else.

Those will transfer with your account.

For Steam version you can have an account on each server linked to the same Steam account, and, if you wish, to the same email as well. There's no native way to change your current server, only by editing/deleting preferences.xml file, see here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1416922188#2944742

Means you haven't fulfilled conditions for them, have you read their descriptions? Mind that most emblems require playing Random battles.


Press ESC and look into left upper corner — there you can see on which game server region you are. Sounds like you're using different accounts on Steam and in standalone NA client, write me a PM if you need help with sorting it out.

Less ping = less lag.

Its not "merging" so much as transferring. If you decide to move your EU account to NA your account as it stands (minus certain elements as noted in the FAQ) will just be moved to the NA server - port slots and all.

Tanks is managed by a separate team, it would be up to them if they wanted to offer a similar promotion.

All of your ships would go with you.

Accounts do not get merged, you would have two separate NA accounts one with whatever your current NA account has, and then another account with whatever was on your EU account.

Remember, this system does not merge the moving account with an existing account.

Any tokens you have on ships at the time of transfer will move with you. For example I still have tokens on my Edi, Neptune and Mino, if I was to move servers, those ships would still have tokens on them.

What's your actual ping in the game? If it's 150ms or below — should be just fine, i've played myself on NA with such ping from Russia. So if it's fine — then it's not network path to server to blame. If it's higher — might be a good idea to complain to your ISP so they check that.

Shipmates will unlink, but you will retain any currency you have already earned.

Tanks is managed separately from WoWS, you'll need to keep an eye out on their portals for is they decide to offer something similar.

While there is a large number of LATAM based players, currently there is not enough grounds for a dedicated server for the region. NA is however expanding its offering and support of LATAM in the next year so hopefully there will be more things for you to enjoy!

Transfers began this morning. We intend to have them all completed by the 10th.

When your account has been transferred, you will receive an email with all information on accessing your account on the new server.

We are doing them in batches, so please be patient with us.

Emails will be sent as soon as the new account is made and available for play.

Unfortunately since this is not a straight forward automated system and does require human input, its not really possible for us to indicate exactly when accounts are going to be "screenshot" and moved. We will attempt to make the time between the capture and release as short as possible tho.

I have received follow up on this matter from the team in charge of this initiative. Apparently there is minimal time between accounts being "screenshot" and becoming available on the new server with the email being sent. A matter of minutes in majority of cases so far.

Regarding this particular question, I would direct it to the SEA community staff as I am not aware of any update concerning this.

Your account from Asia will be automatically remade on the NA server, you will be provided with access details via email when it has been completed.

To my knowledge, it is being done on a date-basis. Since applications will remain open until the 9th, staff are routinely making new lists of additional requests and submitting them for transfer.

If you are moving accounts between servers, they will become disconnected from your WOT accounts. So you will have 2 NA accounts - one for WoWS, one for WoT, and 2 for Asia.


Sorry for the delay on this answer, as the account will be removed from NA, you would have to create a new account to interact on the NA forums.


Yes, rewards for Double Doubloons will still be granted after migration.

So far I believe all transfers requests that were placed at the beginning of the offering, we will continue to the later requests until we are finished. I believe we still intend to be completed by the 10th.

It looks like initial lists for Asia players moving from that server has also been completed. It may be there is an issue with the emailing portion, similar to the NA side.

First round transfers were reported to have been completed (up to the 27th), however it seems there is an issue with the emails going out.

I would caution you about accusing WG Staff of lying. This is was the information we received and as promised, I updated you with it. Furthermore, I would caution you to check the forum rules as you are in breach of several.

Since it is the weekend, we would notion that please consider the majority of the development office is not in until tomorrow, thus we have not received any further information on the matter as yet. We did receive confirmation that the first wave (applicants up to the 27th) were transferred however it does appear there may have been issues with the emails that were meant to go out. Since the "screenshots" were taken last Friday, progress after this date wouldn't be transferred.

We understand that you are all anxious for updates, and growing frustrated. As soon as there is more information it will be given to you all. I deemed it important enough to stop by and check in on this thread on the weekend because I did not want to leave you all hanging.

We'd like to ask for your understanding on this matter, realistically we designed this to go off without a hitch, but with the first time offering this initiative it's not completely unexpected that there would be an issue somewhere. We will ensure there is ample review of the situation for potential future offerings of this nature.

We have no intention of cancelling this offering but would request your understanding as we determine the issue and what has occurred.

1. I don't believe all the accounts are done just yet, we'll know more tomorrow

2. If someone has purchased ships/etc between the screenshot and access of their new accounts and finds items missing they should probably reach out to support - again, we'll know how many people were impacted tomorrow.

3. Since this information was meant to be transmitted over email (which seems to have been what has caused majority of the issues), it is likely we will be able to resubmit these emails to get the information out to players.

Again, speculation. We should know more tomorrow when the appropriate teams are available.

Hey, captains!

We are aware with some issues with the server transfer process so far.. As such, we have decided to restart the transfer process for all impacted players.

To ensure no progress is lost, accounts that are being transferred will be inaccessible once the process begins. Upon completion of this, you will receive an email with your email/password for your moved account. This should not take more than a few hours.

We intend to have transfers completed by: 12/11/2019

This is correct. The team is already working on the new transfers.

Yes, emails will go out this time when the re-migration is completed.

All accounts that opt'd to be transferred will be transferred under this process.

Accounts should only be locked for a few hours while the transfer takes place. We don't intend to have accounts locked for 3 whole days.

I'm a little confused by your situation. You made purchases on your account in ASIA, that were not found on your new NA account? With the re-migration account snapshots will be taken again and the new accounts will be made again.

While we believed the process had finished since no emails went out, it did not. No one should've been accessing or playing their new accounts. The teams are in the process of doing the transfers as we speak and there should be an email going out when your new account is available.

Unfortunately that is not a viable option. Ultimately since the email did not go out, we never confirmed the new accounts are ready and provided access to them to you.

Of course. We have identified the failure point in the process and currently all hands on deck to resolve this issue and complete the transfers.

Recruitment bonuses from double doubloons will go through as earned. Any accumulated currency will carry over, shipmates however will be unlinks.

This is done to prevent complaints of lost progress after the "screenshot" has been taken.

Apologies, just made it into the office and caught up on the internal status.

Currently:

If your account is in the active process of being transferred your account will be banned and under maintenance

This is to ensure that progress isn't made to your account after the "screenshot" of it is taken.



We have remigrated the impacted accounts from the weekend over the last 24 hours and are currently preparing the emails to go out containing the log-in information

The expected timeline for these email is EoD today at latest.



Reminder: if your account has the same username or email as an account on your new servers, the following will happen:

Username: your will receive a random username, and via account management you will be able to change your name for free to an unclaimed name


Email: your email will be changed to a holding email, you will then be able to contact support and get this changed to an email of choice.



If there are any issues with your account after you have received the official access email, please contact the support on your new server for additional help.


We aware this situation and process has been far from straight forward and has caused considerable frustration with you all.

We will be examining the failure points and addressing them for future potential.

We really do appreciate your understanding and patience on this matter.
