You are correct, we never said that a division formed for the purpose of countering a CV was against any rules. Nor did we ever discourage this, in fact, on these forums, we even pinned and responded to guides on how to effectively counter a CV as seen here:

Just like the IX, IX, VIII divisions that have been formed in the past (meaning two tier IX BBs and 1 Tier VIII CV). As these are using the game as it was intended.

HOWEVER, actively griefing, harassing, or personally attacking other players or other actions as outlined in the EULA are violations and not allowed.

It is 100% okay and encouraged to discuss tactics and strategy, however, it is NOT okay to be toxic or violate the EULA.

NO, back pedaling was not done. At the time, it was actually stated MULTIPLE times that discussing tactics or how to counter tactics or how to counter mechanics by using in game mechanics was allowed.

Once again, however, griefing, personal attacks or advocating for personal griefing or personal attacks or other EULA violations is NOT allowed.

Also you're statement that: "WG was probably afraid the KAK div might catch on and hurt what they are trying to do with CVs." is not true. I personally pinned that guide that @DolphinPrincess wrote because it is a PERFECT example of how things should be handled. a KAK is a GREAT counter to CVs and if a division works together they can do an AMAZING job to throw an enemy team off balance, which is what you want.

If you have a way or tactic to counter a mechanic or explain how to deal with a tactic and you can eloquently explain how to use that to counter, without personal attacks or toxicity, then it SHOULD be advertised and used. WHY? Because this is a constructive way to have a conversation about things.

At this time, this conversation I think has gone on far enough. I am seeing A LOT of the replies to this post going around in circles.
