Hello, everyone!

I’m mademoisail, and I just recently joined the World of Warships team as a Community Manager. I am incredibly stoked to get involved in the community and to meet all of you. We will get to know each other well, but I wanted to start with a brief introduction of myself!

I started working in the video game industry back in 2016, but my education and early work experience incorporated public relations, intercultural communication, and opera. 😊 I sang opera and classical music with Grammy-award winning conductors, Metropolitan Opera singers, and with ensembles that traveled internationally to perform. France was the first country I ever visited outside the USA, which is what influenced my name “mademoisail” (a pun on “mademoiselle”.) I grew up around sailboats, and I have been a sailor for as long as I have been a gamer.

My first job in gaming was with Team Dignitas while I was in graduate school. Since then, I have worked for Ubisoft, Fandom, and Elsewhere App in community development and social media. It is my passion to connect with people through gaming, so I am truly excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with World of Warship’s stellar community!

Feel free to give me a shout when you see me in the forums, discord, or playing the game.

À bientôt! See you soon!

Hello!! I am glad to be here. Thank you.
I trained as a Lyric Soprano and sang a loooooooot of Mozart. Before I changed direction with my education, my voice coach was starting to give me a few Coloratura arias.

@Navalpride33 I really like Mozart and Verdi because they wrote some of my favorite operas. Poulenc, Faure, and Debussy are also pretty high on my list. I also really love Broadway and Disney, too :D Diana Damrau and Anna Netrebko are two of my favorite singers on the PLANET, but traveling is what influenced me the most as a person. I love learning about new cultures and languages.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR THE KIND WELCOME!!!!!!

A lot of my confidence singing came from sailing. I would take out a dinghy to the middle of the lake and sing to myself. I love boats and being on the water, so I am really loving the game. I also have a bit of a competitive side, so watch out for me in-game. You might even see me in a sub soon.

-I can't think of any conductors off the top of my head, to be completely honest. I do know that I have worked with some amazing people in the past! It has been years since I have performed in anything.

-I performed with a choir that toured northern France, and the two locations that impacted me the most were the Notre Dame de Paris and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial just off the coast of Omaha Beach. We performed at the memorial and it was a very humbling moment.

@JAKeller It's funny you mention that. When I was in school, there was a Bach-Handel festival every year, and it was....not my favorite. I definitely respect it, but I like the classical and romantic periods far more than the baroque. Meaning, Mozart > Vivaldi

>:D

THANK EVERYONE FOR THE WELCOME. YOU ARE AWESOME PEOPLE.
