Aloha,

So we put it in the DevBlog, both here and the DB site and in the in game "news" section, well in advance, in the PTS notes on here, the bulletin on the website, in the WGC news and in the in game "news" section, well in advance, its live on the PTS weeks in advance, then in the Patch Notes days before the patch and in the in game "news" section, we talk about it on live streams both EU and NA weeks in advance.

I am not sure how much else you want us to communicate changes to you, other than flooding your port with news which we DO NOT want to do.

Okay, I cannot speak to issues of communication in past events or misinterpretation (which I am trying to help fix for the future). This is a separate issue from what the OP is talking about.

But I was directly speaking to the OP and how he mentions that we don't put information out. Which is NOT correct.

And that is partially my point, we can only do so much to inform players. SOME of the work needs to be on the player.

And this is my point. We put it in a lot of places for a reason. We DO NOT want to spam you guys with a pop up that says "look here" Every single game is this way. They post news and patch notes to their website and or a "DevBlog" site. The information is out there for you to find.

You by your own omission say many of our spaces for this information are irrelevant. Except every single one of those except the Devblog site have been around and used in this fashion for YEARS. You may use the Wiki, but we do not run the Wiki, it is run by players. This is why we always say follow our official channels.

Just because you feel a place we put information is irrelevant doesn't mean it is. The majority of our players get their information from these sources because they know this is where they can see it, furthermore we can track activity on those spaces.

A good example of this is the forum use numbers compared to overall server population. The forum itself comprises a VERY small portion of the overall NA server population, this is why we don't just put everything only on the forums.

And I am not thinking like a dev, because I am not one, nor have I ever had a position in the video game development industry, WELL before I had this position, I used to read patch notes on websites and release note announcements. This is pretty much a standard across the board, Wiki's are not.
