Commanders,

A great battle between Godzilla and Kong has just begun in World of Warships, and we wanted to address the most frequent questions about the addition of the two Titans to the game.

Why do Godzilla and Kong's unique voiceovers sound simultaneous with the standard voice commands?

We strive for voiceovers to not only to be interesting and of high quality, but also informative. To this end, we created a new type of sound playback which combines the clarity of standard notifications and the unique roars of these specific characters. We understand that this might not have been clear from the descriptions in the article and shop bundles, so we will update these texts in a week or less.

The unique Titan voiceovers are rather quiet —will this be fixed?

Yes, in one of the nearest game updates, we will be amplifying the unique sound effects for both Godzilla and Kong so that they stand out more.

And what If I'm not happy with this new type of dual voiceover?

You may request a refund for purchased bundles which resulted in obtaining a commander — even if you’ve played more than one battle with them — until 23 of May 2021 23:59 UTC

Why do Godzilla and Kong not appear on my ship's deck in battle?

This decision has two main reasons:

The two Titans are truly legendary creatures — having them sink to the bottom of the sea because of an unlucky battle would hardly be a dignified fate for them

Models of their size would have a significant impact on estimating which ship parts are being hit by their opponents' shells. Even in comparison to other camouflages with non-standard geometry, the massive Titans would have a much bigger effect on aiming at the ship.

Thank you for your attention and we apologize for any confusion. We will do our best to avoid such situations in future.

How do you figure? We don't want to see them get destroyed or sunk. And they don't get killed in the movie that this collaboration is attached to. Having them "sink/retreat" into the ocean wouldn't occur in all instances even if we did have that.

If you remember, we said the same thing during the Transformers collaboration that everyone is comparing this to (in reference to them being on the ship). But the Transformers didn't go down with the ship when you were sunk, they actually "warped" away.

Even if we made them "dive off the ship" for instance, this would bring up all kinds of other issues like, what if there is a ship where they dive off? what if there is an island etc... there is A LOT more development time that would be needed. We have had A LOT of instances of animations that were/are in port and not in battle. Beyond that the size of them, on the ships would not do well for other players that are engaging you, because you would have this giant graphic on the ship that is taller than anything else we have in the game (including some of our skins we already have) it would be quite impractical to do.

Also, this wasn't an "HR" response (I think you mean PR), this was directly from our developers.

Totally understand, our biggest concern is that, and this goes throughout the game, that there isn't necessarily any representation of a characters death, so case in point the Transformers "warped away."

There are A LOT of examples throughout World of Warships where we have graphics in port that aren't in game, the DY ships often have crews standing "manning the rails" in port but not in battles, the Missouri used to have animations that were only in port (and still has a graphic that is only in port), the Transformers animations are only in port. Etc, etc.

Because of the size and positioning of Kong and Godzilla this would have been VERY impractical because, case in point, they are positioned in a fashion to possibly interfere with the view if the ship was targeted. Which we try to avoid this with our skins overall.
