@joeinilm, Believe me, we really really REALLY want to visit the USS North Carolina and it was on our list. Unfortunately we haven't really worked with them previously, and if you can imagine a videogame company just asking to put hundreds of people on their ship, they, of course, have some questions. While they are not part of this official tour, we hope to visit them in the future.

The Submarine at Patriots Point, the USS Clagamore (SS-343), started life in Feb 1945 as a Balou class but later underwent conversion to a Guppy II and eventually a Guppy III Class submarine. Check out here, https://www.patriotspoint.org/explore/uss-clamagore/ , for more information and make sure you swing by to check it out when you visit with the Anchors Away event!

Just a reminder, the AA visit to Patriots Point is under 1 month away now! HIGHLY recommend you get your tickets now if you are planning to go.

It's not only a great chance to meet some of the WoWS staff and amazing CC's, such as @ASHLEYakaASHLEY, but a fantastic chance to explore the living history of museum ships such as the USS Yorktown, the USS Laffey, and the USS Glagamore! If you can at all make the visit be sure to jump on the chance and grab tickets!

The Anchors Away Tour will be visiting the USS Alabama on the 12th of October. (See the link to more information below.)

But if you can at all make it, be sure to get to the USS Yorktown event. Patriots Point is an amazing place honoring and sharing 2 ships, USS Yorktown, and USS Laffey, and a submarine, USS Clagamore. Opportunities to visit parts of our living history are always amazing and with the Anchors Away Tour, we are incredibly excited to visit and celebrate these ships with our players.

Heyo,

We do denote in several locations about the contents of the swag bag ahead of time:

We do not indicate anywhere that there will be ship/flags/etc codes within the bag, there is ample opportunity to receive additional free goodies aboard the ship. For example, at the Massachusetts between the staff and Zoup we had 80 ships codes we gave away, 16 additional physical/virtual goodies available through the epic hunt. While yes, the prize from the scavenger hunt is a sticker sheet and phone key ring, this is a completely optional activity and is quite easy to complete while exploring the ship without much additional effort. Additionally each swag bag does contain a ticket for the major prize raffle where there are considerably prizes. I'm sorry that you were disappointed by this.

That won't be an issue. Just get your friend to let us know at check in the situation and we'll be able to organise this :)

The usernames are just for our reference for any potential CS tickets that may come in after the events. The player patch is a universal patch that looks like:

Regardlessly, you should be able to change your username listed through Eventbrite.

Hey HyPHerFaZe,

Ashley will be there so feel free to introduce yourself, we will have a meet and greet session as well where you can talk to her =).

Yes, buying a ticket gets you access to all of Patriot's Point ships including the Laffey, Yorktown and the Clagmore.

On Eventbrite there should be a question that you have to enter your username into when you buy the ticket. Make sure you also fill out your t-shirt size correctly =).

Good call on the water!

Hey Captains,

Thank you to everyone that came out and joined us on the Yorktown! We had a great time interacting with you, discussing World of Warships and seeing Patriot's Point! As Fem has said, we will get the pictures up from the event tomorrow!

The Community Team looks forward to seeing everyone at the Haida/Little Rock as the next stops on the AAT!

Awesome picture and glad you had a great time!

Hey GunnyShark,

The humidity was a new experience for this Cali raised kid =). We thank you all for the southern hospitality. These events are not necessarily about game experience, but more about meeting your fellow captains and getting a chance to see these awesome museums!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this such a fantastic event! Since I know some of you might not be on our social media pages, I wanted to share a couple of these photos I took of you all.

On the flip side, if you have additional photos that you're planning to upload on social media this week, please don't forget to use the official #AnchorsAwayTour hashtag. You may even get a retweet from our official account if you do.

Hey uggferron,

Thanks for coming out and enjoying the Yorktown with us! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of you that attended and please don't hesitate to ask us questions on the forums if you have them =).

I also love the history of ships and being able to see a ship with such a storied history as the Yorktown is a treat for me!

Hey, listening is part of our job and we enjoy talking to you captains!

Sorry for the double post!

Hey MarkaRagnos,

Glad you had a great time at the Yorktown and the Anchors Away Tour. What about the Yorktown was the most exciting part to see? You mention going to another event in the future, any thoughts on which one?

Hey drakoolia,

I saw you in the registration line I believe with your two pups! Thanks for making the journey and sharing the day with us!

Hey Skraeling,

That is awesome that he did that for you. Are you going to give the patch to your dad? Thanks for making the long drive to the Yorktown!

@Cannon0, we are glad you made it. There might be a minor confusion about tickets, so let me try to explain.

Our company has an ongoing deal with Patriot's Point. As part of this deal the museum prints all admission tickets with an invite code for World of Warships.

This was not done specifically for the Anchors Away event, but your confusion is understandable.

Thank You Captains!

Hey Captains,

We want to thank everyone for coming out to the USS Yorktown and braving the humidity and heat of Charleston in July. We had a great time discussing the game, history and everything else that came up with y'all! We really appreciate you and your families coming out and making the first stop on the Anchors Away Tour on a Carrier! We also want to thank the ship for allowing us to put on the event. We also want to thank our CCs @Angry_Nerd and @ASHLEYakaASHLEY for coming out, as well as our Supertester volunteers @Skraeling, @Hadron_Collide, @Goose21891 and Cloudeye_Fang who helped the staff with various tasks.

Highlights of the event:

Over 200+ captains made the trip to see the Yorktown!

Captains getting to interact with Ashley and Angry_Nerd, two of our NA CCs.

The ability to see a piece of history!

Signing a community flag!

We again want to thank you for coming out to the USS Yorktown and we look forward to seeing you captains at the next stop of the tour: HMCS Haida!
