[2020] WoWS needs WGC open to run

Though some do not believe this, or think that the WGC being required for the game is some kind of malicious requirement. Once again, this is not true.

The WGC is needed because WG is uniting all of its titles under one launcher as many of the other companies have done. This allows us to unify where all our titles are launched from and will allow us to support game functionality, customer support, update and patching more efficiently and successfully.

This has been explained MANY times throughout the last 4 months.

TBH, with you, there will be NO answer that is capable of satisfying what you want to hear specifically @KilljoyCutter I know, because in the multiple threads you have talked about this, I have tried to answer your questions to the fullest extent and you still talk about us not answering you or straight up lying, none of which we have done.

We have not lied, We have not hidden anything in reference to the WGC, within the boundaries of what we are allowed to talk about. We HAVE explained multiple times exactly why this change was coming and why we chose to do it. If you chose to not believe it, there is nothing I can say to change your mind.

Furthermore, we are 100% in compliance with all local laws and all regulatory requirements of the GDPR as well, this has been also stated multiple times.

This is purely to ensure that the game is running correctly, if there are crashes we are able to gather data on that crash to help us assist in client repair or even if you put a CS ticket in, you can run the WGCheck and the crash log along with the scan that occurs from the WGCheck can be submitted to CS.

We had a link to patch it yourself because the WGC wasn't required for EVERYONE as of yet and as a result not everyone had the issue, the WGC had not also been patched to the final product which will now be required. I have been using the WGC for years and have not had ANY of the issues that some have had. But I also do not run any mods, nor do I try to work around using the WGC.

Thanks for your feedback, and thoughts on WGC. I am sorry to say that we are not going to be changing our position on using WGC - at least not for the foreseeable future. Furthering this conversation does not serve any true purpose other than to perpetuate a discussion that will only result in potentially additionally flared emotions.
