Please recall, that just because something wasn't physically built doesn't mean there isn't history behind its design :) This article does a great job of detailing the history behind the designs and the ships intended purpose.

A great idea, we are consistently looking at what models we can bring to the game, but the timing of these really depends on the direction of content we're taking as well as what historical documentation we can source to support their design.

While a Battleship x Carrier would be a dream for being, bringing in a new class/line is a little harder than what you would guess at first glance.
