If you purchase the Odin early (before you get through the Directives) the rewards as you progress the Directives will reward you steel.

Guys, you're over complicating this.

If you get ODIN on DAY ONE and play through the directives you will have the opportunity to get steel. (It doesn't matter HOW you purchase her).

You DO NOT, automatically get the Steel. The Steel comes from DIRECTIVE COMPLETIONS not Build levels or doubloons you spend.

Buying the booster, DOES NOT complete the directives all it does is complete build levels.

You STILL have to get through the directives. To get the steel.

The steel is the reward you get for completing those directives IF you buy Odin out right.

In other words, if you purchase early, what you're purchasing are ALL the rewards and ship. Since you have those rewards and the ship, what you get for working through the directives is STEEL.
