Aloha,
Sorry it took me so long to reply to this, 'twas a long weekend! I agree with you, to an extent. I will say I do my best to reply to any questions or players that have comments about mechanics and have you. Assuming that they are written in a fashion that is respectful and fairly articulate.
That being said, I don't mean like a big long message with big words. I mean if someone posts "The game is broken fix it weegee" I will typically move along.
I don't know that I have seen anyone that is a CC, Privateer or WG staff member ever tell anyone on these forums to p-off and sorry if I missed a message or so. And I just want to say that it is not our policy to ever talk to someone in our amazing community in this fashion. It should be understood however that typically someone that has a very negative opinion cannot have that opinion swayed by simple conversation in the forums. Even posting straight up data or giving ones opinion (as I usually do if someone asks, assuming I am not breaking NDA) I totally will.
I have in the past and will in the present and future challenge our community and people as a whole to be more respectful, helpful and constructive to each other in general online. Back in October (prior to getting my position with WeeGee) I posed a challenge to our community in the forums to "Attempt to be more helpful to your fellow players, to forgive and forget, work WITH not against and try to make everyone's experience better. Ignore your stats, PLAY the GAME. If you're a good player, try to help instead of shaming players that are still learning. If you're going to post suggestions or questions in the forums, try to articulate what you want or are trying to explain. Take a breath and slow down prior to posting if you're angry, and move forward." but this was met with a lot of trolling. Which is to be expected. But the entire reason I said what I did.
In the end we can all ATTEMPT to be more helpful and respectful online in general. But troll's gonna troll.... Okay sorry, off my soap box...
Mahalo,
