Aloha,

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this, 'twas a long weekend! I agree with you, to an extent. I will say I do my best to reply to any questions or players that have comments about mechanics and have you. Assuming that they are written in a fashion that is respectful and fairly articulate.

That being said, I don't mean like a big long message with big words. I mean if someone posts "The game is broken fix it weegee" I will typically move along.

I don't know that I have seen anyone that is a CC, Privateer or WG staff member ever tell anyone on these forums to p-off and sorry if I missed a message or so. And I just want to say that it is not our policy to ever talk to someone in our amazing community in this fashion. It should be understood however that typically someone that has a very negative opinion cannot have that opinion swayed by simple conversation in the forums. Even posting straight up data or giving ones opinion (as I usually do if someone asks, assuming I am not breaking NDA) I totally will.

I have in the past and will in the present and future challenge our community and people as a whole to be more respectful, helpful and constructive to each other in general online. Back in October (prior to getting my position with WeeGee) I posed a challenge to our community in the forums to "Attempt to be more helpful to your fellow players, to forgive and forget, work WITH not against and try to make everyone's experience better. Ignore your stats, PLAY the GAME. If you're a good player, try to help instead of shaming players that are still learning. If you're going to post suggestions or questions in the forums, try to articulate what you want or are trying to explain. Take a breath and slow down prior to posting if you're angry, and move forward." but this was met with a lot of trolling. Which is to be expected. But the entire reason I said what I did.

In the end we can all ATTEMPT to be more helpful and respectful online in general. But troll's gonna troll.... Okay sorry, off my soap box...

Well appreciate your feedback, I have been around since second week of alpha testing, not necessarily posting much in the forums but I have definitely been around since then. And have been active in the community that entire time. I think you mistaken what I talk about posts i reply to, if you look through the posts that I HAVE replied to in the past you'll see some are negative, some are positive. It's not that I ignore posts, that is far from it, those of us on the Community Team literally read every post that goes up, why our volunteers are so important, because of the sheer volume of posts.

I would have to do some digging to find staff members that have ever told a player to "p-off" I think. I don't recall ever seeing that before. if I am in error I am sorry.

As for violations of a policy, is that violations that you see are violations? Because every single report that the community places on someone gets reviewed for violations. And that would include our staff. We work very hard to ensure we are held to a high standard. I know myself I hold myself to a VERY high standard as I believe I cannot hold y'all to a standard if I do not.

My point in my reply, it is actually REALLY EASY to change how we as a community interact online. I have told other communities I have run in the past, if what you are about to say to another player, whether in game or on the forums would not be in line with what you'd probably say to your mother or a loved one. Probably just easier to not say it.

I get that is VERY difficult for many in the online environment, but still is true.

Well though I totally understand. Where people are coming from in the respect of world wide employee commenting. I feel like that doesn't apply here. Since here on the NA forums there are a few of us that I was talking about. I will NOT dispute that people that work for WeeGee in other regions may use different language or inflection that isn't exactly taken the way they intend. I will say, that those of us at WGA pretty much will give you a straight answer and or answer questions to the fullest we can without breaking NDA. I CAN make the promise to you that all of us that work on the NA community will always work our hardest to ensure a positive experience even when getting blasted on the regular and if any community member see's one of us violating that, they can feel free to PM me with a linky or screen shots and I will take care of it!

As for forum moderation, I know for a fact I have hidden some replies and not messaged the member, not because THEY broke forum rules, but probably because the person they quoted did and I was hiding the entirety of that comment. So if you didn't get a warning or feedback that's probably why. I will go back to our moderators with this feed back though, nothing should be getting moderated without at least letting y'all know what is going on. If it was me it was probably just because I was in a hurry to clean a derailed topic up and get it back on track.

One thing to understand. What I have said and what I try to portray is not my attempt as a WeeGee employee to sway anyone. My original reply to the OP was based more around respect for another person. COMMON respect between people in general. Ya know, the whole golden rule kind of idea. I know, I know... crazy talk.

Aloha,

Folks, something to keep in mind. ANYONE can improve their game play. ANYONE can ask for help. And EVERYONE if they're trying to learn should be allowed to. 200 battles or 20,000 battles... it doesn't matter.
