It's extremely common for more rare ships to have inflated performance numbers in the early stages of it's existence. As time goes on, the tech tree will be released and the wider audience will get their hands on them. When that happens the stats will even out more in line with the other CV's. If it does NOT get close enough to the others, that's when balancing decisions can be made.

Referencing statistics to make a point is SO much better than just "Everybody hates it because it's too good because I saw someone play it well", but the statistics themselves also need time to be indicative of exactly how it's performing.
