It's to randomly select metas on window open, otherwise you'd see an empty window every time ( since the metas you selected the last time could have died since the time you opened the window )
Will we ever get a feature to actually pick the metas instead of just letting RNG decide?
From every list window you can open the meta compare window with the top 3 metas already preselected
"Component_List missing in subspecies_list" I think they should fix this in the next patch.
