How to add snow?

I’m fairly new to this game, only really played it on my phone for about a week or two, still getting the hang of the features and what not and have been scrolling thru this subreddit for inspiration and ideas. I’ve noticed a lot of really cool maps that showcase snowy mountains and I just gotta know how to do that! I’ve tried using the cold temperature and snow clouds but any snow I generally melts away within seconds. Am I missing something? Thank you in advance 🙏🏼
