Burroww and caves could be usefull in keeping the number of a certain specie consistent.

They would work like demons' and ice towers, spawning creatures periodically but constantly, untill it reaches its max number of living spawned creatures.

The type of creature spawned can be picked by the player by using the inspecting tool on the spawning structure. After that, a brand new menu page would open, and will show the various options available than can be choosen by the player.

Every spawner can generate one kind of creature at time.

Burrows can spawn snakes, chickens, foxes, cats, rabbits, rats.

Caves can spawn wolves, bears, cows, sheeps.

Obviously, i imagined the concept with the fictional and not vanilla animals i've already shared or that i want to share, but i won't talk about them to avoid any confusione.

Caves can work like mines when the random events rule is on, allowing necromancer and skeletons or dragon to spawn from them.

Both burrows and caves can come in two sizes, small and big.

Depending on the size the spawner, we know its max number of living spawned creatures, five for small ones and ten for big ones.

They can come in different variations too, but that's purely aesthetich. As you can see there is a grassy one, a dead tree one, a basic one, one with bones and a mossy one.

That’s nice to hear, thanks!

I agree with everything! Proper territories, herds/packs and a predator-prey-relationship would make the games nature so interesting to look at, and it’d be a nice alternative to the civilization which seem to be getting the most attention from the devs.

I really hope the teased baby animals are part of an ecosystem overhaul.
