Memes aside, where do you think future updates for the game actually stand?

I love Worldbox, I've been playing on and off for years now. Only recently did I get a phone capable of running Titanic-sized worlds, so I decided to finally buy the game outright rather than constantly having to click ads for 30 minute accessibility. Felt pretty good after doing so, so decided to finally check out the subreddit. Sees wall-to-wall Maxim memes. Shudders.

Is the game dead, or what? I'm not up to date on all the dev drama, but seeing how lots of the sub's content is dedicated to meming on how they aren't updating the game worries me more than just a little.
