s | hello and welcome to episode 12 of the |
---|---|
s | world adrift podcast from Bossa studios |
s | I am mal fir'd the Magnificent I'm |
s | according to the sheet legendary Luke |
s | [Music] |
s | okay yes - Julia very good that's your |
s | joke aggressive stuff has everyone we |
s | open been doing well all right I'm on |
s | all the day next week but all that's |
s | exciting so you got a hole before you go |
s | back to the motherland and back to the |
s | wall of corn yeah which I'm hoping that |
s | there's gonna be a good chunk of |
s | American listeners who don't know but |
s | you're in love recently yeah yeah I'm |
s | going to put in a few weeks actually |
s | okay anything good my cats |
s | yeah bringing them into her though it is |
s | a shame I mean they later I don't think |
s | they would hate it I think they would |
s | have the time of their little lives but |
s | I don't think it's fair on kittens to be |
s | dragging them on the tube for two hours |
s | a day that sense yeah like I sort of |
s | thing the kittens would like no no I |
s | mean they put on my shoe but I love it |
s | yeah that's true yeah I'd go bananas for |
s | it oh we're not swear are we know we can |
s | beat that all right cool well the songs |
s | Ali catches it yeah yeah catch that one |
s | Ali |
s | yeah just just in case you weren't |
s | listening there was a sway yeah there's |
s | some YouTube commenters who just love |
s | how jolly Julie is it's it's really |
s | difficult these guys just the amount of |
s | nominations we've had for the community |
s | cloud top Segway all right no seriously |
s | it's it's amazing how many people have |
s | been nominating each and every one of |
s | the decent people they know and what |
s | else is amazing is that they haven't had |
s | a fight on there yet who must be so |
s | excited talk to us yeah yeah that's |
s | there's a reason you're legendary with |
s | three it's okay so you've had leave had |
s | a ton of thing was scripted it's not |
s | going anyway but so you've had lots of |
s | nominations you've had sort of so what's |
s | the process now now that you've got an |
s | idea of who the community are interested |
s | in having representing them well one of |
s | the things that was mentioned on the |
s | threads there it's at some point becomes |
s | in name your friends and we don't want |
s | that you don't want to listed every |
s | single member of our community |
s | yeah we could just we could just no nice |
s | somebody's not even the key just plays |
s | the game yeah yeah so the process is |
s | going to be um yes so we're going to be |
s | screening all the people we're going to |
s | have a panel of Boss Ian's who have been |
s | active within the community as well who |
s | have possibly spoken to some of the |
s | amendment the members of the community |
s | so in addition to that we will also have |
s | like |
s | character screams and we the reason I |
s | wanted people to nominate people is in |
s | case we haven't heard of them mmm-hmm |
s | because some people might not be active |
s | on the forums or on the general on the |
s | channels that we know of but that means |
s | that doesn't mean they're not active |
s | yeah my have solid sort of feedback and |
s | all that stuff I just know in the forums |
s | or discord oh yeah |
s | solid crews and have solid ideas and you |
s | know we might have missed them so I want |
s | to I want to get to know those people |
s | and see if see if they can make it make |
s | it into the council and give us feedback |
s | and and have fun helping us make the |
s | game hopefully but yeah that's generally |
s | yeah I scared everyone in the community |
s | by saying the mesons gonna be orangey I |
s | think everyone just assumes that all the |
s | names listed are just going to be yeah |
s | we put them all into here we put them |
s | all into a big a big list and we just |
s | press the button and then we randomly |
s | pick from that yeah no that's not that's |
s | not really it wouldn't be too surprising |
s | for us it really would be a really good |
s | way of getting ninja and well you know |
s | we're trying to reduce the the RNG so |
s | now it's more it's more so that there's |
s | no no possibility for favoritism so that |
s | everyone who is equally qualified |
s | qualified for for it said positions can |
s | end up being considered so yeah and |
s | aside from that this week has been full |
s | of hot fixes Wow that's why it's just |
s | thinking about why me we fixed the |
s | duping exploit only four months after it |
s | we've known it was a fun one well then |
s | yeah I think we've we've we've got um it |
s | was pretty you know it was relate to |
s | latency and it was the sort of thing |
s | that was you know it just wasn't |
s | up in the way that we were working |
s | internally so hopefully you know that |
s | will solve this sort of majority of |
s | duping or hopefully all the do pink you |
s | know but then again if people find a new |
s | way of duping don't want just jump on |
s | that will jump on that yeah and work on |
s | a new way yeah so they'll be pleased to |
s | know that I've seed the next patch up |
s | between nine does include stack |
s | splitting and a big portion that feature |
s | has been basically a dupe testing yes we |
s | didn't fix a duper then we're not that |
s | way nine comes out go child damnit |
s | sports tax more dresses creating you |
s | know it's the sort of feature that is |
s | sort of you know rife of potential for |
s | Deeping so we've been in and we've spent |
s | a really long time being we will be |
s | exploiting as much as they can yeah |
s | system to try and see if it I mean yeah |
s | that's one of the good thing about the |
s | pts like if you can if you can dupe on |
s | the deep in the pts like we want to know |
s | about it yeah and we want to so we can |
s | you know figure it out and fix it but I |
s | you know as confident as I can be we've |
s | definitely been we've been quite |
s | rigorous yeah yeah |
s | so hopefully and the second hot of the |
s | hot fixes mmm was something that herbes |
s | patch notes phrased so strangely |
s | yesterday the first few questions where |
s | you guys changed the cost of building |
s | ships I probably said the cost of ships |
s | on the server yeah I mean yeah I mean |
s | that that's related to a loss a lot |
s | performance updates coming in between |
s | nine so the amended patch notes now |
s | patch note now reads performed an |
s | optimization on ships to prefer to |
s | improve server performance yes not the |
s | actual material cost of ships yeah |
s | nothing it's there yes the cost of them |
s | on our servers and on machines okay so |
s | that's useful it's it's all as Luke was |
s | saying a small fight in the big |
s | or of some performance optimizations but |
s | yeah I mean so ugly to anyone has is the |
s | big one this hotfix was almost like |
s | prepping for that but obituary 9 has yes |
s | and very big performance improvement |
s | stuff that you know we've noticed thing |
s | gone shouldn't be doing that it's been |
s | that way for years but yeah at some |
s | point it's like oh dear this was rich is |
s | a curly code mess of curly code from |
s | four years of experimental development |
s | and various periods of like yeah let's |
s | throw it in anyway yeah it's a sort of a |
s | and it's an interesting code base isn't |
s | it it's got I believe it's from years |
s | and years ago I can really only listen |
s | to the coders when they lament the |
s | codebase you know we're getting better |
s | at it |
s | yes sir we should get a coach getting |
s | some people in cast and Dave's you know |
s | he's too busy at the moment but I'm not |
s | distracting though from any of anything |
s | he's fun yeah Dave would be a fun guy to |
s | get on yeah I think times we do pretty |
s | well sir oh yeah I know Tom Tom be fine |
s | but Dave Dave is like knee-deep in in |
s | spatial and ships collar and ships yeah |
s | so I think he's still like you know if |
s | this wasn't an audio podcast you'd see |
s | in his eyes yeah also really sarcastic |
s | so I could go down well I think so |
s | sarcastic |
s | maybe yeah I mean if you have to deal |
s | with the amount of the amount of bugs |
s | and styles of bugs that he's been |
s | attempting to fix in the past few months |
s | are you had to be pretty sarcastic too |
s | he yeah well he's basically working in |
s | the space-time continuum go uh Sandeep |
s | all of the this stuff with the ships and |
s | there are bannings all to do with time |
s | dilation and managing time so it's stuff |
s | that is way beyond my good yes nori on |
s | our pay grow there's a No |
s | brain gray we can we can do spreadsheets |
s | yep week sometimes jump into some code |
s | and change some things that are always |
s | written for us yep and so we can change |
s | the numbers yeah we're about the |
s | experience that's it well yeah I |
s | wouldn't I wouldn't undermine that |
s | because the entire logic of the game the |
s | vision of the game lies with you guys |
s | and it's yeah somebody asks me today if |
s | the game designer is an artist like no |
s | but that's more the more the experience |
s | more the problem is I wait yeah we're |
s | never get asked that question I go I go |
s | oh no no I we don't do any of like oh |
s | did you draw pictures I'll make the 3d |
s | stuff online oh no we didn't do I go oh |
s | do you do all the coding it no we don't |
s | do that and they're just like what did |
s | you do and you're like well I brain it |
s | it's hard to just have like a tangible |
s | thing yeah it's difficult I think that |
s | the closest thing I ever came to is this |
s | sort of it's it feels almost a little |
s | bit like like an architect who continues |
s | to make changes while the house is being |
s | built make the plan of what the house is |
s | gonna be right you decide you decide |
s | where everything's gonna go but you have |
s | this opportunity as the house is being |
s | built to be like oh no wait that door |
s | doesn't makes it is just a series of |
s | unknowns yeah it's like building a house |
s | based on stuff that no we understand so |
s | gamers I never like writes a docking go |
s | I mean that's why you know we say that |
s | no 10% of a game is the idea because it |
s | really is a fraction of yeah what you |
s | actually have to do because you can sit |
s | there right document go there's my game |
s | idea go make it but the amount of stuff |
s | that that comes up and has to change |
s | will be adapted is infinite I mean our |
s | community have some insight into that |
s | because obviously this game being you |
s | know having been playable for as long as |
s | it has been you know much earlier than |
s | most games playable people have seen the |
s | things that you know look great on paper |
s | that we've put in the game that don't |
s | work and we have to change later and you |
s | know things that we were sort of adamant |
s | from you know one reason or another |
s | didn't make any sense and then when we |
s | actually try them you know it didn't |
s | work the way we had them so we have to |
s | do it this other way or join the giant |
s | Birds |
s | yeah yeah yeah when I'll be back one day |
s | one day one day they'll migrate through |
s | foundation again yeah yep |
s | yeah they're that like Nibiru they only |
s | fly through the solar system every two |
s | thousand years yes so just like two |
s | dozen years and you guys can uh yeah |
s | there you go travelers well the 1,000 |
s | years to learn to wait well the world |
s | ends okay yeah well Troy Plex Minh I'll |
s | do a little shout-out at the end but |
s | Troy Plex Minh has been asking a couple |
s | of design questions |
s | let's quite a few questions here yes yes |
s | there's quite a few all right so do you |
s | think you might be adding earthquakes or |
s | islands that shake apart and after a |
s | while they reset destructible buildings |
s | so destructible buildings now the |
s | buildings that we have aren't really set |
s | up that way in terms of like there is |
s | some plan at some point potentially of |
s | having the sort of ability to shift out |
s | Islands from maps dynamically without |
s | having to do a wipe and to do that the |
s | island would have to sort of sink into |
s | there and maybe that would sort of feel |
s | a bit like an earthquake but as sort of |
s | as close as we're gonna get to that I |
s | think but yeah so no no probably no |
s | destructible buildings |
s | yeah because who rebuilds after a while |
s | at least be a really cool temple okay |
s | is it hard to have lava and water |
s | flowing yeah |
s | that's already decoder on here speaking |
s | esperen it listen to the despair no oh |
s | yes yeah there there are some there are |
s | some good reasons for these things I |
s | mean you know we've we've we've done |
s | little sort of water based prototypes |
s | but the flowing of water becomes much |
s | more complex well you know before if we |
s | dynamic and yeah yeah you know sort of |
s | come from and how does it affect things |
s | you know what sort of costs as their own |
s | servers and that kind of stuff okay will |
s | you be doing a new set of materials to |
s | create other zones |
s | the game grows I think ya boo probably |
s | will be anything safe to say because we |
s | have the Arctic by him we want to get in |
s | as our next one yeah |
s | and that'll have like ice that you'll be |
s | I was like you know slippery ice it's |
s | like her |
s | material on there and obviously all the |
s | snow and any time estimate for that |
s | Claudia I think so yeah the idea the |
s | most he's our environment artist |
s | extraordinaire yeah she's on another |
s | project for a little bit so we don't |
s | have any one who's sort of in that |
s | wheelhouse working on Arctic assets at |
s | the moment but yeah it's something so |
s | but wouldn't that mean that's if the map |
s | hasn't grown by then what as as the map |
s | own erm Alfred what area of the map |
s | would you sacrifice a little bit of to |
s | insert the Arctic biome so yeah if the |
s | map isn't able to grow by um we're doing |
s | the Arctic biome it'll probably rather |
s | than take away from one specific thing |
s | it'll sort of you know the proportions |
s | would be more even so maybe there'd be |
s | one less by them from each of the |
s | different ears today accommodate you |
s | know form biomes which Arctic okay |
s | alright cool |
s | that's just my first instinct something |
s | that I don't back to Troy's question you |
s | have like cement its yeah yeah so what's |
s | this question will you will we ever see |
s | the ultimate scale in the sky or is that |
s | a myth I don't think it's a myth not a |
s | minute we actually have the the sky |
s | where light modeled but yeah we have to |
s | go on set did and yeah you have like a |
s | 3d model is like the first thing you do |
s | before we start to implement it's sort |
s | of you know that we have that asset |
s | we've had that for a while we've had it |
s | for a long time here is the problem is |
s | is is that there's a bunch of sort of |
s | underlying tech that needs to go in to |
s | be able to support a creature that large |
s | and ultimately we need to overhaul our |
s | creature system yeah which the creatures |
s | are very expensive we've done some |
s | optimizations even in this patch that |
s | realized made them even more expensive |
s | than we realized |
s | so there's definitely a priority I know |
s | from you know Chang to various people on |
s | the company that like that we don't we |
s | creatures are the big one we know you |
s | guys want them we want them I just need |
s | to right now our focus is on getting the |
s | ship flying like stable smooth that sort |
s | of thing so people can have their big |
s | fights and new kitao and stuff and then |
s | the next big task will be the creature |
s | revamp and they'll be don't but yeah |
s | then there'll be a much for wider |
s | variety of creatures yeah ultimately |
s | what we want is you know different |
s | creatures in different biomes there'll |
s | be like particularly tough creatures |
s | that you're going to need a group of |
s | ships to take out you know mind on your |
s | sky whales but you know you can imagine |
s | that you know some evil sea tales or |
s | something yeah because he tells me this |
s | guy yeah and you know maybe even you |
s | would be able to sort of hopefully do |
s | more with the different numbers of |
s | creatures he might go to the world might |
s | feel a bit more vibrant for sure I'd |
s | love to like swarm a player with like |
s | you know 20 odd sand worms yeah don't |
s | run away from more more worms in the |
s | game the more for more worms I'm more |
s | likes more worms |
s | you guys wait see see the new worms I |
s | put in this I've seen them oh yeah they |
s | look very attractive very attractive |
s | okay and then Troy asks if and when we |
s | get we get to have our own islands in |
s | the game will we be able to create it |
s | and grow it with knowledge so you know |
s | obviously the islands that in the game |
s | made an island crater by community |
s | members mostly so those islands |
s | obviously you know you might be able to |
s | find you island in the game we don't |
s | have any way of necessarily |
s | communicating that to people at the |
s | moment because of some complicated stuff |
s | to do with steam but yet so that you can |
s | still find an iron that you've made but |
s | because that's in a separate app and |
s | because you know the game isn't about |
s | building bases on static islands and |
s | especially because later on will be you |
s | know potentially removing islands yeah |
s | we're not really planning on letting |
s | people invest too much in the items |
s | themselves but I know we have talked |
s | about some kind of reward in Wales |
s | adrift if your Island |
s | like selected yeah as I've ever |
s | interested to hear what people think is |
s | because obviously I've met our main |
s | concern is that we we add something that |
s | players feel like ah I really I can't |
s | believe you're making me make an island |
s | dad in the game right we all see just |
s | want people to just make homes because |
s | they enjoy the creative process yeah you |
s | know it's it's fun to kind of know |
s | design out like a little dungeon or a |
s | puzzle or something like that I'll build |
s | some cool-looking temple so yeah we |
s | definitely like open to ideas of like |
s | you know what would you kind of think |
s | would be really cool to kind of you know |
s | it's like a recognition for you having |
s | around and again reward |
s | what kind of yeah do you like we talking |
s | about like stuff like titles and that's |
s | maybe you can be like architect you'll |
s | play a name you know because that says |
s | that you've you know you've got an |
s | island little architect yeah or maybe |
s | like some reward if you actually get to |
s | your island in the game maybe there's |
s | something on the island it's like you |
s | know that'd be cool for you especially |
s | for you yeah the the father or mother of |
s | the island exactly I remember back to |
s | choice question I remember some very bad |
s | weather in the last version of the game |
s | and have not seen any that read it of |
s | that recently well tornadoes come back |
s | to the game or was that a bug think he's |
s | referring to the blight yeah yeah I |
s | think it's quite reassuring that he |
s | hasn't encountered it that much recently |
s | I think it's I think it's also |
s | interesting that a bug could create an |
s | entire tornadoes interesting visual |
s | manifestations of bugs yeah I wonder how |
s | that would bug the bugs I find it |
s | interesting that he he's missing the bad |
s | weather yeah I think we are as well like |
s | one one goal is I think it's on the |
s | what's it called the road map road map |
s | yeah well we make CLE the weather Barry |
s | is much more destructive yeah we have |
s | roaming weather which is the blight is |
s | actually by for intents and purposes |
s | it's a roaming like storm yeah it's just |
s | specifically their forum you know an |
s | assessee but I'd like to take that same |
s | system and create roaming tornadoes |
s | roaming blizzards roaming sandstorm |
s | you know you might land on an island |
s | thing girlfriends you know a doozy and |
s | then you'll hear the winds pick up and |
s | you'll step outside a little temple and |
s | see you know yeah I'm up from a cave and |
s | see there's a sandstorm hitting your |
s | ship is being dragged away engulfed in |
s | sand and that wouldn't activate anyone |
s | no but it will certainly make things a |
s | little bit exciting |
s | spicy it was supposed to you know |
s | there's a very sort of PvP fight and a |
s | sand storm rolls in and suddenly it's a |
s | much more dramatic memorable fight than |
s | it was before just in terms of adding |
s | interest you know you could have wear |
s | the pants things i rainstorms and stuff |
s | which wouldn't necessarily damage ships |
s | or anything like that but weird you know |
s | maybe change some properties or would |
s | even just be visual I don't know but you |
s | know we have some yeah yeah yeah I mean |
s | yeah I would be pretty cool and this was |
s | speaking about mecir is the last |
s | question is will you ever do the dark |
s | zone no son and all dependent on |
s | artificial lighting oh my god so many |
s | questions that wasn't a value judgment |
s | by Julie that was bow as that was the |
s | end of the post yeah I mean so at some |
s | point in the future we will be exploring |
s | the depths whether or not you know like |
s | below the clouds I mean when I whether |
s | or not that's completely pitch black or |
s | there's some sort of like weird exotic |
s | lighting down there we don't know but |
s | you know there's a lot of eyes in the |
s | game that are a complete pitch black and |
s | if you don't have any lights you ain't |
s | seeing much so I think that's what |
s | people like there is an element of that |
s | we'll have to see how it looks I think I |
s | think on paper it sounds kind of cool |
s | but I'm worried that you would just be |
s | sitting there like I can't see a thing |
s | yeah it's not you'd need to have you |
s | know some pretty hefty light sources to |
s | actually like us otherwise you know |
s | you're constantly having suggests you |
s | only better see kind of a few meters in |
s | front of you all the time and it |
s | wouldn't really matter what environment |
s | you were in because you never see it |
s | yeah suppose that we've got cheap |
s | [Laughter] |
s | Yan asks how about fixing fixing engines |
s | to wings that would be very useful or |
s | giving us more options to edit the ship |
s | frames so that's ship builder 2.0 going |
s | along yep yep facing engines to wings |
s | with something that I don't know if any |
s | of our very long time yeah we used to do |
s | that and then what would happen is some |
s | would shoot your wing off and you'd lose |
s | your engine that's reason we've changed |
s | I think there were some other things |
s | that happened it stopped different |
s | working but that's the reason we haven't |
s | put huge work into fixing I think as for |
s | pastor decks mm-hmm I mean oh I |
s | think at one point I was gonna |
s | experiment see if I could do that I mean |
s | one thing is I'll see know if you had |
s | ranges on the decks and people shot your |
s | decks you could potentially lose like |
s | five engines at once if they were all on |
s | the same deck so there wouldn't be you |
s | know like attaching two wings it |
s | probably wouldn't be the best combat |
s | solution but yeah yeah we can we can |
s | look into that and see if you which |
s | won't for roleplay reasons yeah I also |
s | think once we have and I know this is |
s | again a thing we've talked about a lot |
s | but haven't done yet but once we have |
s | this or destructible frame thing there |
s | will be more points of failure anyway so |
s | maybe at that point you know people have |
s | to we'll have to start planning anyway |
s | so maybe I appointed it's sort of you |
s | know doesn't make any sense - yeah I |
s | have as many restrictions but at the |
s | moment it's sort of it's not the way of |
s | specifically restricting on purpose it's |
s | just that we haven't reimplemented the |
s | feature to sort of add engines to wings |
s | and that sort of thing I kind of I |
s | really like the last question by Emile |
s | wouldn't it be cool if we had some sort |
s | of rescue boats or on very large ships |
s | so in case you're getting you're getting |
s | hard beating and you need to abandon |
s | your ship you can at least survive and |
s | maybe rescue some items yeah I mean I |
s | know no idea how that would work but |
s | that sounds awesome I know we have like |
s | we have designs going back years for |
s | like um no I'll see how you can build a |
s | shipyard and it docks your ship but you |
s | get like an equivalent you can |
s | to your ship and then you could have a |
s | little ship that then gets attached to |
s | that ship ception and so you can |
s | essentially create some sort of like |
s | ship carrier right thank you yeah |
s | aircraft carrier and have little docking |
s | stations on the ship the only caveat for |
s | that would be that the way we were going |
s | to balance it would be that the main |
s | ship if something docked to it then your |
s | main sure would be have to sustain the |
s | weight of the adult ship so that way you |
s | know if you want you to have like a ship |
s | there's just nothing but core and like |
s | lows of empty space you can have like |
s | you know four little ships parked on it |
s | or something like that that'd be kind of |
s | cool a little little fighter ships they |
s | could have a cruise if it has also you |
s | yeah and that's kind of an interesting |
s | thing in a way because you have the you |
s | know the current meta which is the sort |
s | of very fast ships with cannons on you |
s | could still have that and then you also |
s | still have these sort of hulking |
s | behemoths which have you know yeah so |
s | now I've been Yasim I've been toying |
s | with the idea of like what for advanced |
s | technology was and I players been asking |
s | for anyway that is it's a little core |
s | that you can't upgrade mmm but it's like |
s | you know it holds a bit of weight like |
s | maybe like 1500 kilos or something like |
s | that and like maybe a smaller fuel tank |
s | or something right so it holds less fuel |
s | but just in terms of size it's much |
s | smaller it's much smaller so player have |
s | a little mini call a little mini fuel |
s | tanks and so create much more smaller |
s | ships and then when we had the docking |
s | there you go you know have little |
s | fighter ships you can you can swarm your |
s | enemies a little annoying ships yeah |
s | well you could make a sort of escape pod |
s | which is just a source or sealed thing |
s | with panels on yeah you could just have |
s | like you know load all your stuff is |
s | your right to sink and then get away |
s | yeah that'd be cool yeah I'd say yeah |
s | that's that's a cool idea I don't know |
s | you know when we get chance to look at |
s | it it's a cool idea that would be that |
s | would be much further down the line yeah |
s | yeah sorry performance and things out |
s | right and last but not least I would |
s | like to congratulate the island creator |
s | competition winner Desdemona and her |
s | actuations and her absolutely terrifying |
s | Island called purgatory which is white |
s | and has rivers of red and massive |
s | severed heads floating through them it's |
s | also full of turrets |
s | um it'sit's a very nice island it's |
s | pretty and it's spooky and it's been |
s | very very very difficult judging all the |
s | islands because they're all really cool |
s | and really creepy and if you actually |
s | run around on them they they did a they |
s | did an awesome job especially I'd like |
s | to like there were two runners runners |
s | up but annoyed and mr. fizz but I would |
s | like to shout out to Shiraz who got me |
s | very very frustrated with the little |
s | witch's house that she submitted which |
s | is just full of grappling turrets it was |
s | yeah I never got to the witch's house |
s | [Laughter] |
s | altima troll yeah I think we had the mr. |
s | fears one cathedra the deep had this |
s | very interesting thing which I I've |
s | quite a sort of shower which is sort of |
s | a bit of a weird jank thing from a |
s | gameplay perspective but from like a |
s | spooky Island perspective it's really |
s | cool which is that there's a sort of |
s | like central chamber in the inn in the |
s | depths of it where there's this sort of |
s | effigy of Cthulhu and it has like a |
s | platform on it and if you stand on that |
s | platform you just start taking damage |
s | and what the hell was going on here so I |
s | went out into a sort of preview mode and |
s | went underneath the ground and he's just |
s | scaled up some huge spikes so the |
s | collisions of the spikes are sticking at |
s | the ground yeah I saw one that was like |
s | it had like a volcano oh it would have |
s | been ugly |
s | it's like signature buildings his kooky |
s | buildings he likes to build and it was |
s | based like a pyroclastic flow hood has |
s | sweep through this town and destroyed it |
s | and it's weak still he's like like stone |
s | corpses and stuff there he's built yeah |
s | so that one was a bit morbid but then |
s | when you get in and I was like okay son |
s | lava but we don't actually have lava yet |
s | mm so I jump into the volcano and start |
s | taking damage yeah and I was like how is |
s | he made like a surface that is like you |
s | know making me take damage yeah and then |
s | I i'll see that exit into the the camera |
s | mode i went below the volcano and just |
s | below it he scaled up barbed wire yes - |
s | were like a huge |
s | degree the the damaged collider for the |
s | for the the barbed wire its massive and |
s | so just walking around on this lava |
s | actually hurts yeah it's one of its just |
s | like because I even always confusing |
s | like how is he making me take damage man |
s | I love some of the submissions we go |
s | they're just so yeah we give people |
s | these tools and you know you really sort |
s | of learn the limits of what you can do |
s | with those tools by people's creativity |
s | which i think is really cool yeah again |
s | another reason why we want to find a way |
s | to reward them yeah well the drift |
s | itself because they're doing such a |
s | crazy amazing job at sort of creating |
s | these unique experiences yeah but yeah |
s | thank you so much for your submissions |
s | we've we've had a lot of fun exploring |
s | them and I think that's that's us for |
s | today that's the end of episode 11 yeah |
s | cheers for listening guys |
s | well to who will see the spiel in the |
s | end thank you very much for listening to |
