[2020] has the aggressiveness of Mantas been increased or something in the last few days?

I literally can't hop between two close islands any more without being totally f*cked over by a swarm of 4 or 5 homing missile mantas. Even if you power down engines, fight them off, repair up and then start up the engines again, the aggro range on them is just so f*cking stupidly far that you just get annihilated by them again.

I'm in a tier 1 area and it's happening, no idea what I'm supposed to do when playing solo to fend them off.
