[2019] Duping and Exploits

The Moderation team has agreed to allow the posting of:

Dupe and exploits of the game, code, where to find them, and step-by-step explanations. To help make strides in preventative measures. In addition, all users who were previously banned for submitting topics related to this have had their bans removed. Auto-moderator is being adjusted and previous threads are being approved to for research purposes.

This does not include witch hunting of suspected closet-dupers. All of those suspicions and/or supporting evidence should be sent directly and privately to Bossa.

Speaking of which, we're not Bossa. Any rules Bossa may have can be found on their website. Here are our rules.

If the WA reddit community overwhelmingly disagrees with the decision, we will reverse it.

While I understand why you're doing this remember that you're going to be catering to an audience of people who exploit or want to break our game. That doesn't really make the kind of environment developers want to engage with. Making this all public will create a more hostile community and I for one will be more hesitant posting or reading here.

As a more "company" response to this, remember that:

Your rules are in contradiction with our own. Messaging us privately about these things is fine. Publicly teaching people how to exploit will get you banned.
Because of our focus on upgrading backend systems we won't be able to patch this stuff as quickly as we'd like. Despite your good intentions this is actually exacerbating the situation for us and the community.
