| 34s | dressed as someone put a spider on my |
| 37s | head spider spider spider man as I've |
| 42s | mentioned in previous blog I don't have |
| 43s | a lot of room in my current |
| 45s | accommodation and buying outfits I |
| 48s | didn't come with one but you know I had |
| 50s | a spider on my head by then that's |
| 52s | something I almost left the house |
| 54s | yesterday Ryan oh I was going three |
| 60s | people dresses right so initially we |
| 64s | were planning to have the entire |
| 67s | marketing team dress right no be very |
| 69s | good but alas everyone bailed Ryan is |
| 72s | the dahle our friend from the streams |
| 76s | everyone knows fine I got a flu shot so |
| 86s | I'm a little bit feeling a little bit |

| 89s | are important I'm not hungover at all |

| 108s | that was my counselor yeah I was then he |

| 127s | well update 29 is is going on yes any |

| 142s | that's about a week and a half working |
| 144s | days so rather than it's summer |

| 154s | left to get all the features in but |
| 156s | we're gonna have two weeks of bug fixing |
| 158s | at least yeah and then some some QA time |
| 162s | RC get the build out but on pts you know |

| 255s | station is the Loom and right now you |
| 258s | can craft clothes from your multi-tool |
| 260s | but we're going to change that and you |
| 263s | can see you have to craft them from a |
| 264s | new ship part called the loom that most |
| 266s | that means that you can |
| 268s | set things up to craft and go off about |
| 271s | your merry way and come back and collect |
| 272s | them later yeah that's cool I don't |
| 276s | think this is live right now with the |
| 277s | the rarity colors no we're still asking |
| 284s | right so they're gonna get that as well |
| 286s | rarity clothes are coming in does that |
| 290s | does that include rarity colors for |
| 292s | everything or just schematics or |
| 295s | everything in your inventory that has a |
| 296s | rarity there are some things that aren't |
| 299s | that don't have rarities like worms the |
| 304s | worms have a rarity okay into cart |
| 306s | berries dunno that's it the only Maddox |
| 313s | all sorts of materials everything has a |
| 315s | rarity now a lot of things have rarities |
| 319s | except you can't marry and some other |
| 321s | things that okay blunt fibers yeah there |
| 324s | goes yeah so you know I would think you |
| 327s | might notice listen to this podcast |
| 328s | backers the musters having a tough time |

| 335s | so obviously when things be introduced |
| 337s | with the Halloween update was the the |
| 340s | witch's brew which was the first sort of |
| 342s | consumable that has two effects at the |
| 344s | same time and so we're capitalizing on |
| 347s | that bit of tech we put in for that so |
| 349s | we should be able to add some more |
| 350s | recipes that have multiple effects so at |
| 352s | the moment I'm working on some cool new |
| 355s | recipes that do a couple of different |
| 357s | things and that might expand the sort of |
| 359s | options that what you can use cooking |
| 361s | for some of them give you more extreme |
| 363s | buffs with slight debuffs other ones |
| 365s | give you you know sort of busts that are |
| 367s | spread out across two different thanks |
| 369s | and I'm also cos it's me adding some |
| 371s | gross ingredients to the game I'm adding |
| 374s | a new kind of worm yeah a kind of snail |
| 377s | not really a snail though it's like a |
| 378s | slug but the shell is made of fungus |
| 380s | like hardened fungus that's pretty cool |
| 387s | I'm a nice guy |
| 391s | animal sweating a kind of mushroom to |
| 393s | them so those are the things I'm working |
| 394s | the moment yes and this should be pretty |
| 396s | easy to just to just put in so those |
| 398s | will go in though and make also vinegar |
| 400s | as well in a cornflower yeah two very |
| 404s | key cooking ingredients so we're gonna |
| 405s | have some yeah wait if you're adding |
| 407s | flour |
| 408s | are we getting large patches of wheat |
| 410s | wheat no you you just make flour flour |
| 414s | flour plant fibers at the moment there's |
| 417s | no farming or internet that come into |
| 419s | the game but they tell that sell them to |
| 420s | the hardcore players gonna okay okay |
| 429s | okay no so yeah there's gonna be some |
| 432s | staples like you can make bread and you |
| 434s | can you know make some burgers I was |
| 443s | thinking about pence and skittles vodka |
| 445s | I think we'll save that for later |
| 446s | wait oh yeah I'm gonna say that for the |
| 448s | Voodoo burns because there there's no |
| 450s | people's they love their vodka oh |
| 452s | speaking of which do we have like any |
| 454s | progress or anything snow-related coming |
| 458s | so what I can tell you for sure is that |
| 460s | we're currently having arguments about |

| 467s | I've got strong opinions but the things |
| 469s | that I feel like it needs to be good |
| 471s | require more our budget than we have at |
| 473s | the moment so either awaits until we |
| 474s | have our budget back or we do something |
| 476s | that's different or I think we should do |
| 478s | it's not worth getting into too much |
| 480s | detail right now but we are adding some |
| 483s | you know we're trying to add some |
| 485s | Christmas stuff and add some related to |
| 488s | the Arctic biome but it's it's snowy you |
| 492s | know I don't know Jason yeah exactly |
| 494s | it snows in December in some places yeah |
| 497s | dunno yeah not in Australia down |

| 507s | put some delicious hot hot food on to |

| 533s | barbecues that sounds wild I mean |
| 536s | apparently it's great I mean I got |
| 539s | invited to Australia for Christmas |
| 541s | actually my fiance's got Australian |
| 543s | family button but it's Melbourne for |
| 544s | Christmas I'll just pop on down across |
| 546s | the entire world |
| 549s | yeah and a thousand pounds in place no I |
| 553s | decided to actually not just because of |
| 555s | that because I always actually New |
| 556s | Zealand around that sort of time so I |
| 558s | could have adjusted my dates and go and |
| 560s | then instead but partly because I don't |
| 563s | love them I they're not my relatives |
| 569s | because I really struggle with |
| 572s | temperatures above approximately 27 |
| 574s | degrees Celsius I feel me are you not |
| 576s | wearing shorts for once in your life - |
| 578s | that's because it's actually below 15 |
| 579s | degrees outside which is my cuts of |
| 581s | point so if you guys understand Celsius |
| 582s | 15 degrees that's my cutoff point |
| 584s | anything about 15 degrees I will wear |
| 586s | shorts because I run real hot hot boy |
| 591s | share that with you I do a lot of |
| 593s | basting in my own juices actually in the |
| 600s | game is mouth for the mustard in my |
| 605s | temper fluid that's how are adding water |
| 609s | to the gates worse than its mild yeah |
| 612s | it's not even high it's just like above |
| 614s | average looks very countries often |
| 622s | covered in blankets yeah he uses the |
| 624s | Cape from Merlin that we have as a as a |
| 627s | little sort of shield from the air to |
| 629s | keep his legs what a cutie boy but that |
| 634s | actually connects to the Halloween stuff |
| 637s | I put further down on the lizard people |
| 641s | have been asking how long will these |
| 644s | items last cuz we're going to be |
| 646s | removing them do we have any confirmed |
| 648s | dates and when we're removing yeah I can |
| 650s | tell you we're looking into doing a |
| 652s | hotfix between |
| 654s | the Halloween update which was 28 and |
| 657s | the next update 29 but we can't get that |
| 660s | confirmed because we have a lot of new |
| 662s | stuff going on for 29 we're focusing on |
| 664s | that content so we can't give a confirm |
| 667s | that it will be signed off in time so |
| 668s | the latest will be for update 29 but |
| 672s | we're thinking we're trying to get a |
| 674s | hotfix in earlier so stuck up on |
| 677s | pumpkins |
| 677s | oh yeah well also use that and you'll |
| 681s | need to repent you'll need them to repay |
| 683s | your pumpkins that is true I've seen |
| 684s | some really nice jack-o'-lantern |
| 687s | screenshots okay they're so great that |
| 693s | one of my favorite videos I've seen so |
| 696s | far is that one of the of the this sort |
| 699s | of nightclub oh my god yeah yeah on |
| 701s | vaults of Uruk with with the guitarist |
| 703s | playing everyone just hearing out pole |
| 705s | dancing very entertaining can they keep |
| 708s | history was there anyway yeah it was |
| 714s | great and then the best part was the the |
| 717s | blight turning up and then then being |
| 718s | like no there's no play I see any play |
| 720s | and this walk outside they're like oh |
| 722s | there's good stuff how did you come up |
| 727s | with all the Halloween like which is |
| 730s | brewing and how because I'm you guys |
| 734s | were the main brain force behind that |
| 737s | thing so muster really the slugs in the |
| 742s | juice slugs in the game because I like |
| 747s | that in gross animals in this video I'll |
| 750s | tell you we we wanted wanted to do so |
| 752s | probably mean and I knew we had a little |
| 755s | bit of time a little bit of bandwidth |
| 757s | between bug-fixing and I have been |
| 760s | talking to some people like an |
| 762s | incredibly great programmer that we have |
| 765s | on the team named Kexin about how to do |
| 767s | a couple different things and I was |
| 770s | trying to figure out I think we talked |
| 771s | about this a little bit on the previous |
| 772s | podcast trying to figure out where our |
| 774s | free resources were and like I said last |
| 776s | time I realize that Ally audio guy who |
| 779s | is the greatest yeah it was like yeah we |
| 781s | could we could ask him to do some stuff |
| 782s | and so that's what a witch's brew came |
| 784s | from this idea to change sound effects |
| 787s | and to spooky sound effects like that |
| 790s | I'm just I don't know right here first |
| 792s | some of the stuff that we come up with |
| 794s | is simply do we have any spare resources |
| 797s | at the moment in game development you |
| 801s | just got to take your wins we can get |
| 803s | them right brave with what you have |
| 805s | exactly the more boxes you put a |
| 808s | designer or whoever inside of the more |
| 810s | creative they have to be to get out of |
| 811s | it so if we only have a couple people |
| 815s | figure out do it and the jackal enter |
| 817s | was just clearly you know jack did have |
| 822s | time to make his own Jacqueline I think |
| 824s | Jack had already made some pumpkin based |
| 827s | assets in his spare time he did a game |
| 830s | jam for for growing pumpkins yeah and so |
| 835s | we just sort of co-opted that wraps a |
| 836s | lot of stuff and then we decided to |
| 838s | throw some o the horns of oak yeah sure |
| 842s | I see it's a it's a little hint that's |
| 844s | some future law I had actually I had |
| 848s | nothing to do with that part that was |
| 850s | all Jack how does Jack okay here I mean |
| 852s | he was like oh yeah take a look at they |
| 853s | see if you want to change any of the law |
| 854s | and I was like no I think they were |
| 858s | recording either one of the trailers or |
| 860s | one of the they were recording something |
| 866s | it was the art team with the the |
| 869s | marketing team and I was hovering over |
| 871s | them like do we have any Halloweeny |
| 873s | assets that we could actually you know |
| 875s | like complete and make and put in the |
| 877s | game and do the thing like because we |
| 879s | can't have Halloween without the spooky |
| 881s | almost said but stuff and then it turned |
| 889s | out that my entire pleading conversation |
| 891s | was heard by everyone on the conference |
| 893s | call just like in a sitcom yes yes we |
| 900s | need more sitcoms invalidly or quick |
| 903s | it's mildly very mildly it wasn't until |
| 906s | I went back to the marketing corner it |
| 908s | was like we heard everything |
| 909s | oh it's good I didn't say any thing I |
| 912s | actually what are you trying to say |

| 921s | he has strong opinions about every |
| 923s | person in the office strongly liking |
| 926s | everybody there's this one more |

| 936s | cloud council don't you I do want to |
| 937s | talk about talked about it learn us the |
| 941s | CCC so as you may know because you are |
| 945s | in the group for the utilization of said |
| 948s | council the first councils term is |
| 953s | coming to an end and we are defending |
| 956s | them and then restructuring a little |
| 961s | restructure little corporate |
| 962s | restructuring I'd like to actually just |
| 964s | take this opportunity to thank the cloud |
| 967s | counsel that we have had so far there |
| 970s | has been invaluable and also quite |
| 973s | excited I have this sort of brush of |
| 975s | breath of fresh air |
| 976s | from a bunch of new people as well yeah |
| 978s | it's it's going to be quite like |
| 981s | honestly I know that herb was probably |
| 983s | using their their input I think pretty |
| 988s | much every day yeah yeah he was relying |
| 991s | a lot of stuff to us yeah and I think |
| 995s | that was very helpful I also think I |
| 997s | would personally would like to give |
| 999s | other players an opportunity to to mix |
| 1003s | it up a little bit and see what we can |
| 1005s | come out with but I think some of that |
| 1007s | is just that it's nice to have lots of |
| 1009s | different perspectives like you know we |
| 1011s | know that we can trust the cloud council |
| 1013s | that we have had up till now yeah to |
| 1015s | give us their honest opinions and we |
| 1017s | know yes there's a lot there but no I |
| 1022s | think that they it's gray and we are |
| 1023s | weak sort of understand where they're |
| 1025s | coming from and a little of their sort |
| 1026s | of complaints and stuff but then |
| 1027s | obviously you know we'd like other |
| 1029s | people who come from slightly different |
| 1031s | backgrounds to be able to give us just |
| 1033s | as much you know we don't think that |
| 1036s | anyone's opinion is more valuable than |
| 1037s | anyone else's so it's good to get a |
| 1039s | broad spread of that yeah exactly and |
| 1041s | for those of you listeners that do do |
| 1044s | not know what the heck we're talking |
| 1046s | about the community cloud council is |
| 1050s | basically a sort of a community |
| 1054s | focus group so it will be it's a |
| 1058s | collection of players that are a very |
| 1061s | good at the game have been playing it |
| 1063s | for a while understand it well and |
| 1066s | interactive members of the community so |
| 1067s | they understand what the community |
| 1069s | sentiment is generally at least like if |
| 1073s | you're a PvP or you will be you know |
| 1075s | with the PvP crowd and you will share |
| 1078s | their opinions and if you're a PvE or |
| 1081s | you you will be able to relay a general |
| 1083s | feeling of the PvE |
| 1086s | atmosphere that being said sometimes |
| 1091s | herb basically pops in and asks hey k |
| 1094s | guys so we're we're planning to do a |
| 1096s | thing should we do this thing and people |
| 1099s | will be like no that's a terrible idea |
| 1101s | and sometimes just rolls in and mind you |
| 1104s | this is this is like a group chat |
| 1105s | situation rolls in and tells the council |
| 1109s | hey we're doing the thing and then we |
| 1110s | will have three months of being screamed |
| 1112s | at by ten people preparing us for the |
| 1114s | wider screaming across board once we |
| 1116s | actually announce the actual element |
| 1118s | it's very important to know what kind of |
| 1120s | screaming to expect yes exactly |
| 1122s | we are you gotta roll that's my favorite |
| 1124s | yeah that was thanks it's good for us I |
| 1138s | mean yeah because we like it is very |
| 1142s | hard rolling some stuff out some |
| 1144s | decisions out because you're human and |
| 1149s | hearing hearing a lot of the criticism |
| 1151s | at least you know we get prepared for it |
| 1154s | yeah I also think you know this is a |
| 1156s | certain amount of like it helps us to |
| 1157s | shape how we do things in a way like we |
| 1160s | can hear what people's concerns are yeah |
| 1161s | and we can be careful to sort of avoid |
| 1163s | the pitfalls that people can see so |
| 1166s | momma Julia how are we gonna decide who |
| 1170s | goes in the new one or players gonna be |
| 1172s | able to give their input on that |
| 1174s | yes players will be able to give their |
| 1176s | input on that right now I'm actually |
| 1178s | kind of brainstorming it because |
| 1181s | mainly of the fact that herb and I and a |
| 1186s | couple of other people and I sat down |
| 1187s | and tried to come up with a reasonable |
| 1190s | voting system that won't be like |
| 1192s | exploitative people details and we don't |
| 1195s | have to like go back end and dig up |
| 1197s | people's details and both yeah so anyway |
| 1201s | where we thought of all the ways we |
| 1206s | could exploit voting and there are many |
| 1209s | yeah yeah online what are we Americans |
| 1223s | well yeah |
| 1225s | anyway without delving into politics not |
| 1228s | to it's a different pocket also we don't |
| 1231s | really want it to be a popularity |
| 1233s | contest yes so right now I am bouncing |
| 1238s | between the ideas of how to do this in a |
| 1241s | fair fashion where people can recommend |
| 1245s | players who they think are suited for |
| 1248s | the role obviously I would I then go |
| 1252s | through them and see if they fit the |
| 1253s | criteria of like not being not being |
| 1257s | unfavorable people to other players or |
| 1260s | to us or to anything because as much as |
| 1263s | you know we want criticism we want it to |
| 1266s | be constructive we need to make sure the |
| 1267s | people that we get are people who are |
| 1269s | going to be able to provide us with |
| 1270s | feedback yeah |
| 1273s | should we have people tell us if they |
| 1274s | want to be involved or yes yeah no yeah |

| 1342s | you are if you are in one of the play |
| 1346s | tests or feedback channels that are |
| 1347s | handled by Tonya that's an even bigger |
| 1352s | plus cuz we know that you you basically |
| 1354s | can give ok here anything important I'm |
| 1359s | going to tell you guys a story now I was |
| 1363s | at school in sixth form happens |
| 1368s | basically we have instead of high school |
| 1371s | we're with include secondary school and |
| 1372s | then there's a sort of part after |
| 1374s | secondary school before University which |
| 1377s | is like either you'll go to like a |
| 1378s | college or you'll stay on that school |
| 1380s | doing a sixth form so there you go a |
| 1382s | crash course in UK education so when I |
| 1388s | was doing those we had a vote for our |
| 1390s | class presidents and we they were |
| 1392s | looking for a male and a female |
| 1394s | candidate so we had to you know write |
| 1397s | down who thought would be good on a |
| 1399s | piece of paper and submit it and my |
| 1401s | friend Danny and I both voted for ninja |
| 1404s | em and Ninja F oh so funny because those |
| 1411s | that work those weren't real people yeah |
| 1413s | oh really there was this one in Ninja em |
| 1415s | no their sister in ninja f I think |
| 1418s | exactly yeah and you know what they did |
| 1420s | rather well they didn't quite win but it |
| 1424s | was enough to make our 42 very annoying |
| 1428s | we've made a mockery of it I like we |
| 1432s | interns that we had democracy is not a |
| 1433s | joke I would like to take this |
| 1436s | opportunity to like shout out to any |
| 1438s | teachers potentially listening to this |
| 1441s | so sorry yeah specifically mrs. Hancock |
| 1444s | who was the woman who bullied in that |
| 1448s | particular heads of terrible there and |
| 1449s | in many children are terrible and I want |
| 1455s | to say children I mean we were about |
| 1456s | seventeen say and real quickly let's go |
| 1464s | through some questions from the |
| 1465s | community just now great thirty show |
| 1468s | says when will the pumpkin patch |
| 1470s | Halloween event end okay yeah we've |
| 1473s | already done that so thank you for the |

| 1501s | aerodynamic stimulation going on so |

| 1506s | affect yeah there's no drift at the |
| 1507s | moment if anything they would probably |
| 1508s | add drag but yeah it's it's that's why |
| 1515s | we're gonna prioritize but it's an |
| 1516s | interesting idea |
| 1517s | it's especially with over heat coming in |
| 1518s | yeah if your ends overheat it might be |
| 1521s | nice to there is also relied for a |
| 1523s | little bit there's also a question on do |
| 1525s | chart interrupt you but you do actually |
| 1527s | just to clarify you do maintain some |
| 1529s | part of your speed after your engines go |
| 1531s | off it's not like it's all of a sudden |
