Do a test - put only this forum on subscribed for a 48h if you don't believe me :)
80% will be moved :)
Questions with concrete answers for which there is little discussion beyond the answering of the question itself belong in the Q&A subforum; But many people don't bother.
Bug reports and issues should go in the aptly named support& bug reports subforum..But again, Many don't bother.
Anyone who doesn't just drop by to leave a post in the middle of the night with no intention of every visiting the forum for any other reason will typically just drop their posts in the general forum- Because why bother? Why care about the organization? They got the information they needed even by putting it in the wrong place.
But anyone who comes here regularly knows which sections they want to look at.
It's not at all about censorship. It's about putting the threads where they are most likely to be looked for; Organization- You wouldn't look for meeting room requests in support& bug reports, or bug reports in servers. Just like in a grocery store you wouldn't be looking for fruits and vegetables in the electronics section.
Welcome to the internet- Forums have been separated into subforums since BBS's back in the day. It's not likely to change now- And honestly, If every single thread was conglomerated into just plain general discussions, everything from meeting requests to bug reports to questions to complaints? 99% of people wouldn't bother to use the forum because it's messy, haphazard and a pain to sift through 90+% of posts in search of the few things you actually have an interest in engaging with.
And that's not just speculation; There are plenty of steam games with dead discussion boards because everything is put in one place.
