[2021] I would like to see a change to the perk system that gives a very small chance to unlock a skill without using skill points.

There are a number of perk-related things you can unlock from books/schematics without putting points into them also.

Can confirm. Not only was it just a default placeholder Unity system, but it was too heavily abused by players to be left in place. It's gone now, and it's not coming back.

What's really interesting is that if people were so adamant about this system, they would have figured out how to mod it back in already to the way it was. But hey, at least you can still go play the buggy mess that a15 or before was.

Why? So they can avoid making their game, and make yours instead?

The developers are making the game they want to make. This is Alpha development, and a lot of the "changed for no reason" systems a lot of you players hate being removed, were only ever temporary placeholders waiting for the actual system to be developed and put into place.

Maybe don't get attached during development, and wait until the game is actually finished.
