Will they break the chests I made to store items and farm pots too? I also set the blood moon enemy to 4, just because it's first time, how many zombies will I have to kill exactly then? Currently I am lvl 16.

I don’t think anyone answered this directly. They can damage your chests, farm plots, stations, or other blocks of value. But they only target you, the player character. So you can play it safe and stay far away from your stuff, or you can forego that advice so long as your stuff doesn’t get in their way as they try to reach you.

Which leads to one of the biggest noob mistakes: not planning for how they’ll try to reach you. In my humble opinion, if you figure you’ll just hide on the other side of a wall or roof, and not have to worry specifically about where the zombies go, because it’s so strong or they’ll die too fast, you’re going to have problems long term. Luckily the learning curve is forgiving. I don’t know the exact number of zombies you’ll get on your first horde night, but you should both have a fighting chance and get a better idea of how’ll they’ll approach and attack, so you can refine your understanding of what base defenses are worthwhile. I opt for Nameless’s approach for the first few horde nights.
