[2023] No New Paint Brush Paints?

The developer discussed this. Adding paint textures to the paintbrush is costly. Both in terms of texture overhead, and in performance when you've painted a lot of blocks.

If it will be expanded, it will be done later after much more optimization has occurred. Currently it has been reduced.

They have been that way for a long time. They're intended to be used in the POI editor, and you can turn them on or off there. Same with all of the other POI lights and torches.

Hmm. The release notes under environment art said "New Block Textures" which led me to think the opposite. I'll have to look out for this next time I get to painting.

I recall faatal mentioning that they had trimmed them. I haven't really gotten around to building yet though.
