Most likely your gyro is wherever you took off onto the flight from. Vehicle locations are mostly only saved once you park em. So retrace your steps and you might find it.
Else, Press F1, Type 'CM' into the window that appears, F1 again to close the window and press U to open the creative menu. Search Gyro and pull out a new gyro + some fuel, then repeat the initial few steps to exit creative mode again.
