Maybe baking cornbread in a jar should be different since it would be a much higher temperature, but then it becomes an almost useless food since it gives such low food value. I don't think things necessarily need to be realistic, but it would be nice if things made sense within the game. The consistency is in the resulting item.
When you boil murky water or for tea, you're drinking liquid FROM a jar; Ergo, you still have the jar and from it you drink the drink.
When you boil corn, or an egg, you have the item but no jar- You're not eating a boiled egg in a jar, you're eating a boiled egg that had been taken from the jar when it was done cooking. Same with corn on the cob- It's not still in the jar.
Liquids made in jars you actively have the jar with you when you drink it, and indeed must be contained within a jar to not just splash over the ground since you have nothing to hold it in. While solid foods you would presumably not still be carrying it around in the jar and adding that extra weight to yourself for no reason.
As stated earlier in the thread, You can only get one result from a crafted item. So you get Tea(in a jar) or Corn. Not Tea+a jar or Corn+a jar. And while they could just make you get a jar back when you eat a boiled egg/corn/whatever, that in itself does not make sense since the icon doesn't have a jar in it, and subseuquently assumes that every single boiled egg/corn on the cob/etc in the entire world is in a jar since you can obtain them via methods other than having crafted it yourself, which is itself weird.
