[2023] Assassins creed: Vallhalla - crash on startup menu

Hi! So i decided to start playing Vallhalla again after a year or so,
I installed the game on my external hardrive, and i do have all the requriments to run the game (I've played it before...)

However, every time when i come to the menu ´´ press any key to continue´´ the game crashes, and puts me back to my desktop.

I've tried already everything...

• Verifiying the files
• reinstalled the game
• Tried diffrent methods by the help of youtube/google.

Could it be because of my external harddrive? If i remember correctly, i installed it there last time too. NO probblem back then...
