I can confirm that this particular issue was not addressed with the 1.7.0 update. I can also confirm that after thorough investigation, the development team confirmed that they were unable to continue looking into a potential fix for this issue as they needed to focus on issues that have a comparatively higher impact on the gameplay experience.
This was mentioned in the megathread we created for this issue back in October 2022.
