Hi everyone! Time for a big post!

First of all, thanks so much for playing and enjoying Among Us. It's been crazy to see how much more popular Among Us could be than we ever imagined.

Second of all, yes. We're confirming Among Us 2. This post is all about what that means and why we're doing it.

First and Most Important Among Us 1 servers will stay alive for as long as it has enough players to start games. When we first started, we found that players couldn't really play when the servers had fewer than 30 - 50 players per hour. But lately we have 70,000 - 110,000 per hour. We'd be crazy to shut off the servers on you in 2021! And even if Among Us 2 gets lots of players, we'll just run both at the same time. If Among Us 1 servers shut down, I will open source the code so players can run servers instead.

But why a sequel? Among Us 1 has been out over two years. It started as a tiny local-multiplayer-only game and has grown and grown and grown. Online ... Read more

Hey, thanks for pointing this out. I think Steam added some new tags and things got messed up. We def aren't splitscreen, but we do support LAN, so I fixed our features tags.

Among Us anti-hack is a little overzealous and sometimes takes out whole rooms if one person is hacking. Sorry you guys sometimes get caught in the crossfire.

Reliable Packet 1 is the connection packet. It usually means there's a firewall on your PC (Windows Firewall or some antivirus programs) or your router that isn't letting UDP port 22022-22025 traffic through.

Hey Everyone! Apologies for the radio silence! We are sure you all know a lot is going on in the world, so we hope all of you are well and safe.

The day has finally come where our Among Us DLC maps MIRA HQ and Polus are free! That means anyone and everyone can host on all three maps! The hats and skins associated with the maps were difficult to remove (“fun” behind-the-scenes with Steam and Mobile platforms is really what’s up) so we’ve made them purchasable as normal skin DLCs!
We also added a bunch more free hats for players to choose from! As well an update to the Crewmate Pet DLCs with the addition of a Crewmate Hat! That’s it for now, we’re still doing what we can for bug fixes. We hope you enjoy this update!

Hope you all are excited for a merchandise update as well! Whoot whoot!

Local multiplayer works by having everyone join the same wifi. Each player uses their own device. We also have a F2P mobile version with ads and fewer cosmetics so people don't *have* to buy the PC version. There is crossplay between PC and mobile.

​Polus releases on November 12 and will cost $4. It'll have new tasks and sabotages as well as a ton of new fixes and improved anti-hacks.

Sorry we haven't been very good about sharing information through Steam, but we're happy to announce that we are working on two new maps!

The new MIRA Headquarters map (outlined above) is set to release in under two weeks! The second doesn't have a name or release date yet, but PuffballsUnited has been streaming all work on it, so you can watch that here: https://www.twitch.tv/puffballs_united/videos

Each new map comes with some new tasks and strategies and will cost 4 USD. Each map takes months to create, so we're really excited and hope you all like them!

Sorry, I don't plan on it. I tried to make a native Linux version previously, but I couldn't get it to work. I have heard of some mixed successes with Wine, though.

New Colors: Cyan and Lime We spent a little extra time on this update to add some extra things we've been interested in for a while now. Many people have noticed the wallet picture with Cyan, who was removed before we released the game. But we brought them back with a new color Lime! Green might have gotten a little darker as well. :)



Stats Tracking We also thought players might be interested in game stats. So you can find that on the main menu now. This is kind of a work in progress, we'll be listening to feedback on stats to add or remove.

In-Game Kicks and Bans We're removing them. We get consistent complaints about hosts abusing kick/ban during games because they find the impostor or are discovered as impostor and don't want to lose. We tried reducing the number of kicks per game, but it usually only takes one to ruin a ... Read more
