A good thing to know about trade is passive trade at your warehouse is always at the worst price in the game, both for buying and selling stuff.
Buying directly at an npc trader is also a bad price.
Selling to an npc trader is also at the worst possible price (same price as selling passivly in your warehouse). Exept for the goods they demand in red, they will give you a good price for those.
Therefore soap and fur coats where givven as example of good money makers.
However you can sell anything in any quantity to an npc trader so if you ever go there and you see goods in your warehouse as full just bring it along and sell them.
Factories not working cost as much as they are working so sell everything you have at max.
Surplus of building materials are a very good example of things you can sell to an npc trader since they are easely maxed and your factories shut down becouse of no storage space.

So,how to make money of trade?

Trade with other npc players (or multiplayers wich is in this case exactly the same).
Since buying and selling passivly in your warehouse are the worst prices possible.
This means that if you go to another players warehouse (and you have a trade agreement) you will buy and sell at the best possible prices in the game!
Buying from another player's warehouse is incredibly cheap while selling goods there gives huge profits!
The big downside of this is that other players can change there offers and demands at any time, especially npc traders are changing it all the time with no logical reasening.

Another nice trick here apart from the obvious by now.
If another player sells anything an npc trader requests always buy it and go sell at the npc trader! you can make a profit from 100-200%!
Not opposite if another player requests something an npc trader offers you will not make a profit.
This is because trading with the npc traders goes at a bad price, it becomes even worse if you have bought it and the other player no longer requests it.

I hope i made a few things clear here in part of trading.

Once again i would like this opportunity to ask for the devs that npc traders and other players warehouses should give you around 4 cargo slots you can use without having a ship there.
This would encourage trading within the game big time!
I also believe the game should be more informative or transparant since many people will do not know how these things work.
