With the Day at the amusement park cosmetic DLC that will be released later today we also got the announcement that possibly also Bustling City Life cosmetic DLC will be produced. The condition is that the day at the amusement park DLC should be a success. Before I continue what I think of that statement I want you to watch a fragment of the movie the pursuit of happiness.
With such an announcement you raise a certain expectation. This might not be intentional but it happens. Lets just assume for a moment that the people at the marketing department of Ubisoft are very smart people and they are very much aware what the expectation is that they raise with such an announcement. Do I think it is the intention for the marketing department to disappoint us? I dont think so. How easy would it be to wait a few more days with this announcement and see how popular the day at the amusement park DLC will be? That would not be too hard. If Ubisoft would still be very much doubting if they would release the Bustling City Life DLC then waiting a few days would be the perfect solution. Then you would not have to disappoint anybody and you could just say we are going for it. I think the decision to produce the city of life DLC is already made. It would be a great last addition to the most successful Anno so far.
