[2023] Will purchasing complete edition overwrite all standard edition progress?

I've been playing the base game (1800) for a while now (through Ubisoft connect on PC) and have been toying with getting the DLC. The complete edition which has the base game & all 4 season passes is currently up for half price (so cheaper than buying all 4 DLC separately). Will this overwrite my base game progress/achievements etc? Not the end of the world if it does as would be looking to start a fresh anyway, just intrigued?

Also, I welcome any smarter ideas for getting the DLC than this if there are better ways.
