So... many... telephones in 1800

I thought the other citizens were bad with coffee, but the need for telephones seems... extreme.

I have four factories, powered, with 600 staff. Creating telephones for just over 6000 scholars. That's not taking into account the people down the production chain.

What are they doing with all those telephones? Do they think they're disposable, you use a fresh phone a day?!
