So the new update is out, and just as the previous one it comes with bugs. Now, I am not as pissed off as many others seem to be. I understand that hundreds and thousands of players getting the game and trying it out shows many more issues than what they can find before release.

But, my issue is: Release dates. Who the hell keeps authorizing release dates right before holidays!? Previous was right before Christmas, now right before Easter.

It might be they want people to enjoy and have access to the new shiny stuff when they have time off, but in effect it comes with bugs that won't be fixed because they have time off. So now my time off where I get to play the game is f*cked.

If you want us to enjoy it during holidays, drop it like a week or two before, so you have time to iron out the bugs as we go into holidays and we'll all be happy.

Heyho, I appreciate the frustration with some of the bugs and the timing of the release, with people having time off over the weekend to play.

This slightly longer weekend, however, (in contrast to the christmas holidays) does not have a big impact on any patch development. Investigating, fixing and then validating the issues does take several days either way, so that a normal game update/patch usually takes 2 (or 3, depending) weeks.

I will take your feedback regarding general release timing for discussion in the team, though.

I understand this information does not help you with the issues right now, but I thought you might appreciate some context.

We will do our best to keep you in the loop on our next actions, both via the Anno Union and the known issues list. as soon as we have a rough timing for the patch, we will let you know.
