They used to have this in Call of Duty games when a user left matches early game or after they died (e.g. in a Search & Destroy match leaving your team disadvantaged), it'd place a probation timer before they were allowed to play again. It did sort of work and deterred most players from leaving early game.
I'm not saying that everyone has to stay the whole match, but for those players who literally leave during selecting character or during the first few seconds because they didnt get to land where they wanted or whatever... and then you have to decide whether to continue as a team of 2 or leave as well leaving ur other teammate by themself which is sad. It's truly frustrating.
I'm honestly on the fence for players who die but can be respawned, because it feels like though it'll be good for the team, but bad if the team barely tries to get ur banner so then it becomes more of a burden for the player who died. I'm thinking maybe allow leaving the match without consequence when their banner timer runs out.
