Your Xbox Gamertag will be prompted to create an EA account if you never logged into an EA game before. If you logged into Apex Legends and it never asked you to create an account, that indicates you must have linked up your Xbox Gamertag to an account in the past.

Here is how to you can locate the email address for the EA account that your Xbox Gamertag is linked to:

  1. Go into another EA game to see the email address under the account settings: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/find-your-ea-account-email-address-using-your-game/
  2. Visit Help.EA.com and select "Log In" a the top. When you go to enter in your email address and password, just below it you'll see an option to sign in using your Xbox Live credentials. Use the Xbox option. Once you're signed in go to Accounts at the top and select "Change Email" so you can check to see which email your Xbox Gamertag is linked to.

If you do not have access to that email address you'll need to contact our EA Advisors for account recovery. Click here to start account recovery
