Hey, can I assume the shots were hitting the trident and not the player? When the trident is hit the passengers get hit for 20% damage, so each tick during the "charge" phase will be rounded down below 1.
For the shot itself, it does 45 on a body shot, which of course rounds down to 9, or possibly 8 if the passenger was fortified.
So I believe this is working as intended- unless you can consistently hit the driver/passengers the CR offers gentle discouragement at best- but we'll double check on the damage rounding when it goes below 1.
