Hey @reaviee,
Has it been a while since you've played Apex Legends by any chance? When you hit the level cap, your level gets set back to 1 and you go up a tier, which can happen 3 times (So until you hit Level 500 on tier 3). Effectively the level cap has been 2,000 since season 14 with this change. We have a little bit more information about the level cap increase here:

So you're not just level 1 again, you're level 1 tier 1 (From level 500 tier 0). I hope that's clarified it a little.
